Co-Workers who don't have kids

Hi Ladies. I need some advice. I'm struggling with my Co-workers who don't have children. They have formed a group/click that is making fun of and complaining about people with kids right in front of me. I'm being singled out and asked to do things that they clearly know I can't due as I have a 4 month old (example: staying late, working a night shift, scheduling meetings during my scheduled pumping time). My boss is oblivious to all of this and can't be bothered with confrontation. What can I do? Anyone else experience this? Help! I'm miserable :(

  • I guess depending on what their comments are, I would probably make a smartass comment back.  Can you give us some examples of things they're saying?

For the things they're asking you to do with the exception of pumping, are these things everyone else is expected to do?

  • 2 things. Skip your boss and go right to HR. Explain that your boss is not helping. Get some exact quotes, since they are cliquey, and I assume immature, they'll probably try to flip it on you. Also, they are required to accommodate your pumping schedule. So that's a violation.

Sorry you're going through this! I work with families in a home setting, and they're having difficulty understanding I can't do those extras for them anymore (staying late, weekend shifts, etc.) lots of adjustment!!
  • I'm sorry you're going through this. Talking to someone would be great if they take action to help you, if not there is a possibility that it will make things worse.

I would ignore the comments and keep explaining the obvious when they ask for those things
