Newbie question

Hi all! I'm a newbie here. I've been lurking for a few weeks before I decided to sign up.

I have a question for everyone, but please feel free to re-direct me if its the wrong board.

We have been TTC for about a year now, and due to my PCOS with insulin resistance, we have started fertility treatments. Clomid and timed BDing did not work for us. We're now on our second round of metformin, follistim and ovidrel combined with IUI.

So my question is.... Did anyone on here conceive through IUI? If so, how many attempts at what dosage (and follicles!) did it take to get a BFP?

    I don't have experience with this. You might try the infertility boards as well.

    I unfortunately do not have any experience with IUI or a BFP yet, however I do have PCOS with insulin resistance and am on metformin have tried femara with timed BD and was unsuccessful am now onto clomid (same thing really) with timed BD and if in 3 cycles that does not work we will be on to injectables with IUI.....please look me up and let me know how it goes for you!!! I'd love to know if someone in a really similar situation to mine has success because at this point I am fearing paying all the money for the injectables and IUI if they aren't gonna work. GL!!

    Kaitlink33, absolutely, it's nice being able to share stories with those that are going through the same thing! I really hope that someone has a success story to share with us, and I hope that one day we will also have our own success stories :) thank you, and GL to you too!
