I am at work (I work in a financial office) and just hit a major wall. I'm totally queasy and exhausted all of a sudden. Nibbling on ginger candy but it isn't helping. Anyone else feeling the mid-afternoon lull?
I was feeling that BIG TIME from weeks 6-9. Luckily, my energy level has started to pick up and the afternoons are not as brutal as they were even a week ago.
So it's only 1 here, but I've definitely hit that wall :P luckily both kids (mine + daycare) are down for naps for about another hour, so I'm hoping to crash ling enough to refill the tanks for an afternoon with 2 one year olds!
Just past noon here, but I've been feeling yucky all day. I seem to be having true morning sickness this time, and when two o'clock rolls around, I'll stop feeling sick and just be sleepy. Yay!
I have my bad ms from when I wake until lunch then feel fatigued from lunch til dinner. Just had a packet of plain potato chips and sipped on a glass of ginger ale, and I feel better than I have all day long. Just need to make it until 5:00...
Our class scheduled goes from periods 1-8 and then each month we switch and go 8-1. Yesterday we just switched to the reverse 8-1. Which means I had NO BREAK AT ALL until 1pm. I was eating saltines all morning and dying for my lunch. Then I had to teach a class after my short lunch, and finally on my planning now. While I love that I only have one class to go, I seriously feel like I have zero energy to go through the same thing for the 6th time today.
YES!! The afternoon at work is the worst for me. I've been taking 1/2 Unisom at night which helps me with nausea in the AM, but by early afternoon I am really struggling with nausea and exhaustion. I've found that granny smith apples help me with nausea and I force myself to get up and walk around. La Croix seltzer water (any citrus flavor) also seems to help me.
@Lairrah - Thank you for the granny smith reminder. I'm going to pick up some tonight. We went on a cruise earlier this year, and I completely forgot that they told us green apples would help with nausea.
I have felt like a zombie all day! I thought it was bc I went to sleep later but maybe it's all the development sucking out the energy! I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow. I also get sever gas pains starting around 2 or 3 every afternoon. Hopefully second trimester gives us an energy boost!
Yes!!! I feel this every day, including weekends, unless I'm at home in bed for most of the day. But of course I work full-time so I hit the wall everyday at about 2 PM.
I fantasize about taking a nap under my desk, George Castanza-style around 2pm everyday. I have a door that locks, I seriously consider blocking out my calendar and taking a snooze.

This is why I could not be trusted with my own locking office. )
imrachelleaWOW 8 periods seems like a lot!! We have seven periods (47 minutes), but I have planning for two of those periods and also a 30 minute lunch... and mine are spread out, so I get a lot of breaks in the day. Thank God because I have to eat at EVERY break to try to keep the nausea somewhat at bay.... what grade(s) do you teach again?

Im the same. 2pm is when I'd curl up anywhere to sleep. No nausea, just exhaustion. I sometimes indulge myself with a coffee if I've been good that week. I skip morning coffees now. I keep my 1 cup a day max specifically for the wall.
I've felt like that on the weekends! I'm a teacher so I don't have time to think about being tired until I get home from work. I plop myself on the couch with an exhausted feeling.
I've been getting this so much. Today I considered taking a nap in my office - then realized if I turned off the lights and hid in the corner, it would look like I wasn't there anyway, so I went home. Only got about an hour in two parts (husband coming home woke me up, then the cat barfing). I have big plans for this weekend that include a lot of sleeping (but I'll probably be too anxious to sleep much when I get the actual chance).
