Need some reassurance...

hi everyone, I'm 8w1d today but because of my miscarriage last year (found out at 10.5 weeks when I started to bleed, but baby stopped growing at 7w4d) I am freaking out because my symptoms stopped again, just like last time. I would love to go to the ER and get a scan or call my doctor to get blood drawn but she already checked my levels for me last month and sent me for an early ultrasound because I was nervous... I will be getting a scan between 11 and 13 weeks but I can't help but worry. I've had absolutely no cramping since I found out and my symptoms which were indigestion, and sore breasts have all stopped. I haven't been peeing frequently or having any dreams... I'm hoping to hear from anyone who's in the same boat but has had proof of everything still being fine. Thank you in advance to anyone that can help me not feel crazy and worried lol

  • It's my understanding that pregnancy symptoms often come and go for some people and that it's not unusual for symptoms to ease up as time and the pregnancy progress. I'm at 8 weeks 6 days. My debilitating fatigue is getting a lot better, and my breasts are a lot less sore over the past few days. My constant, ravenous hunger is getting better as well, so my appetite is starting to feel normal again. My queasiness comes and goes, and I've not had consistent, daily nausea. With my easing symptoms, I might have been troubled, but I just had an ultrasound yesterday. I saw that he's exactly on target for growth, and his heartbeat is strong. While I believe that you know your body best and that it's important to advocate for yourself if you sense a problem, try not to over-interpret when it comes to symptoms because they're such an inexact way to gauge your pregnancy. I know any advice in the "try to relax" category is easier said than done, but I hope you do manage to feel some peace and are able to enjoy the next few months. I hope all is well and that you have a healthy pregnancy!
  • Thank you so much. I think it's all I need to have is one person who is kinda going through the same thing but knows everything is alright!! It's that hope that I keep losing but get back as soon as I talk to someone who is reassuring. Thank you, and best of luck to u as well!!
  • I know that she already sent you for a scan, but I'd still call her and let her know. Because this happened last time, she's likely to be inclined to send you in for another scan. It would just put your mind at ease to know for sure, lots of stress and worry aren't good for you! Though, I totally understand, having been there twice myself.

  • I'm right there with you! I'm 7 weeks today (I think) which is the same place I was when I miscarried last time, but didn't find out until we were almost to the 12 week mark. My symptoms completely disappeared last night which put me in immediate panic mode. I have my first appointment later this afternoon & hopefully it will be good news; I'll update you as soon as we're done. Also, I agree with Cmerribury, I would call your OB, I'm sure they'll understand and will have you come in for a recheck. Hugs!
