Books & nightmares!?

So I have been having the scariest dreams for the past few weeks.. I can not get good sleep at all... I'm use to waking up once or twice a night checking on my son, I've been like that since he was born & it's just habit now so that doesn't bother me & I always fall back to sleep.. I now have to urinate during that time as well so I'm happy I'm use to get up anyways.. BUT for the past few nights I can't ever go back to sleep because I don't want to continue having the bad dream.. I never had problems with bad dreams, never really had any dreams at all before this pregnancy.. Anyways- I have heard if you read a good book before falling asleep it will help prevent bad dreams! I actually love to read but haven't in years .. Since 50 shades lol... Do any of you ladies have some good romance or inspirational type novels to suggest!?

Re: Books & nightmares!?

  • For romance, I like anything by Vicki Lewis Thompson. Her books are on the steamy side, and a little hokey at times, but, definitely light-hearted and fun. Anything by Nicholas Sparks is good. Another good one is Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. If you like dogs, The Art of Racing in the Rain is wonderful, sad, but really good.

  • Don't read Nicholas Sparks if you're looking for light hearted! Nora Roberts, Johanna Lindsay, Jude Devereaux, Julia Quinn!
