I am 34 weeks, 1 day, today and had a growth scan. About 3 weeks ago, they measured our little boy in the 70th percentile. Today, he was measured in the 75th percentile at 6 lbs., 3 oz. The doctor said, if I go full-term, he will be closer to 9 lbs. EEK! I have never gone full-term (I've never gotten this far actually) and cannot wrap my brain around birthing a 9 lb baby.
I do NOT want a C-section, but cannot imagine delivering a 9 lb baby. I am freaking out!!
I may start jogging at 37 weeks, hoping things get started. Feeling sick to my stomach.
Re: 9 lbs...SAY WHAT?!!???
Also, I'm sure you weren't really serious but please don't try and 'get things started' at 37 weeks, baby isn't full term at that point
Wait and see! I know of many moms who have delivered 9-10 lbs babies without issue. Obviously it isn't pleasant, but they were still able to without a C-section. Just gotta see what your body can handle first. Don't worry this early on, share your concerns with your doctor.
*edited: autocorrect owns me*
Also, he was 2 weeks late so take that into account too lol
If you really want a vaginal birth don't let doctors try to scare you into scheduled sections for reasons pertaining to the size of your baby it's unnecessary and you should be given the chance to labor/push naturally.
Remember this is what our bodies are meant to do!
