New here questions on IUI (kids mentioned)

Hello, I have some questions about IUI and if anyone has been successful with it, thoughts on it as a next step or any input. A little background... I'm 38 my dh and I have been married almost 6 yrs. I have 4 boys ranging from 16-20 and he has a son who is 8. We have none together. I had a TR in March and we have been trying for 6 months. Its the beginning of our journey but already we have had some bumps. I'm on metphormin for insulin resistance. Possible PCOS but all levels so far show ok and Ive lost 24 lbs so Im hoping that helps. Dh has low morphology we just found out. We go to the dr on Sept 14th to see what our next step is. I have clomid and an hcg shot but haven't taken it since we found out about Dh's levels. We were told by friends that he might suggest IUI. I googled it and it seems like a hopeful option. Thoughts? Please and thank you! ♡

    Our Dr recommend IUI, I've got "light" PCOS and have 2 children (4,8). We are in our 1st real month of treatment as the last 2 months have been testing. I'm 31, dh is 32.
    We decided to try for 4 months TI and on the meds: femera, metformin, and HCG trigger shot.
    Missed my chance to trigger shot this weekend though :/
    But wanted to try TI with the meds first, my periods are irregular. If TI doesn't work, we will probably go IUI.
    I'd go with your gut feeling. If that doesn't work, try the next on the list! Good luck :)

    @ybaby4 I knew lots of people get IUIs. It works for some right away and for some it takes a little longer. I believe someone with PCOS has a 16-20% chance of getting pregnant per IUI, but after 3 IUIs the chance of success goes down. Good luck!

    Treatment: Clomid:  50mg, 100mg, 150mg - not successful and not monitored

                      Menopur 75ml (upped to 112.5ml), Ovidrel, & IUI  IUI #1 8/31/2015

    9/15/2015: BFP HCG - 400, 9/17/2015: HCG - 827, 9/21/2015 - HCG 3,327!
    Heartbeat 10/2/2015: 118bpm
    DS: 5/27/2016

    TTC# 2: 12/2017
    BFP: 4/20/2018
    EDD: 12/29/2018
