Pronounced noo + la, and means "fair shouldered, exceptionally lovely".
My husbands parents are from Ireland and are about as Irish as Irish gets. I know it would mean so much to them if we chose an Irish name for our third and last child. Unfortunately for me, I don't seem to love many Irish names. However, Nuala has caught my heart.
Thoughts on this name?
(her brothers are Samuel and Ari, both hebrew names)
Re: Nuala
Anyway.
The pronunciation makes it sound okay, but coming from a person who has a weird spelling to their name I think you should rethink it. I think there are better Irish names out there.
