  My one concern would be how Americans would mispronounce it constantly as Noo-ah-lah. That's my first instinct on pronunciation since I've never seen it before. That said, if you don't mind correcting people, it's very pretty.

  Made me lol at first. If you love it and it's based in your heritage, go for it. Just train your kid to constantly correct people on how to say and spell her name.

  Don't love the sound, especially with so many beautiful Irish names that are (at least slightly) more familiar to Americans. Oona? Maeve? Bridget?

  Scrolling quickly through the app I saw this and thought this said Nutella. Lol of course I had to find it again to proof read.
  Anyway.
  The pronunciation makes it sound okay, but coming from a person who has a weird spelling to their name I think you should rethink it. I think there are better Irish names out there.

  I think there are better Irish names out there. Even with the corrected pronunciation - which she will be doing A LOT - I don't find it very pretty. For some reason I just keep thinking doula... or noodle.

  Another person who would have pronounced it noo-ah-la... and then i started rhyming it with koala... and then i didn't know what sex you were even talking about until i saw your last sentence of "her brothers..."
