  It's NMS, but I think it's a nice name. I can't think of any issues with it off the top of my head.

  Mila Simone sounds too similar to Nina Simone to me.
  
  I prefer Simone as a first name, as mila is NMS.

  The only problem I see is having a first name that ends in A and a last name that begins in A. They tend to run together to my ears.

  I think it's great. Mila is beautiful and I really like Simone as a mn. I also really like Maya, so that might be another contender since they're very similar.

  I also don't think you need to worry about the double A - the A in Mila is more "uh" and Atkins is more "ah" so I think it works. Mila is cute - pretty popular right now but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you love Mila Simone, I say go for it!
