PP wardrobe

what are you guys wearing PP? I'm 4 weeks PP and have lost half of the weight I put on so I'm in this weird stage of not wanting to wear maternity clothes but my normal clothes don't fit yet. I find myself living in sweats or maxi skirts if I must leave the house!

Re: PP wardrobe

  • Maternity shorts (the one pair I have) and nursing tanks or regular tanks... Or nothing on top if I can avoid leaving the house. My poor nips are struggling.

  • I bought fat clothes after my last child. They are 2-3 sizes bigger than my normal. I have 3-4 pairs of shorts and 2 pairs of jeans. Otherwise maxi skirts and yoga pants.

  • I'm in the same boat! Yoga pants, nursing tshirts, long tank tops and maxi skirts.
  • I'm 3weeks pp and pretty close to my prepregnancy weight (within 3-4 lbs) but my stomach is definitely not as tight/toned as it used to be so a lot of my prepregnancy pants don't fit yet. Right now I'm either wearing my maternity shorts, skirts, or my prepregnancy jeans with the belt extender & belly band that I wore during my first trimester. Mostly maternity tank tops around the house. Just because they're longer and cover the belly band better.

I'm wearing mostly soffe shorts or something similar and tanks. I tried on real jeans the other day and while I could put them on, my squishy belly made a nice little muffin top that I was not happy with.
  • I only have 7 lbs left so I'm in most of my pre pregnancy clothes but I feel fat as hell in them. Nothing like having nothing to wear to make you feel ugly and gross. At least that's how I feel.

  • Mostly comfy clothes like yoga pants and tanks. Occasionally if I'm going out to do something then I have a pair of skinny maternity jeans or a pair of fat denim shorts. Or a maxi dress. I'm down all the baby weight but still have fluff for stomach. More fluff than normal, not that I was toned before. ;)
  • Maxi skirts or my maternity capris if I leave the house, otherwise yoga pants. Tops are usually just tank tops (rouched maternity ones too). I am 4 wks pp but refuse to step on a scale until my 6wk check up. DH says I am almost back to normal and I have to agree as a pair of yoga pants that was uncomfortable last week are quite comfy at the moment.
  • Around the house I'm in boxer pajama shorts and baggy tshirts. I prefer to be braless too. If I go out its basketball shorts or maternity shorts. I haven't even tried on my pre-pregnancy clothes yet to see if they will fit. I've lost 20 pounds and still have 10 to go to be back to pre-pregnancy weight.
  • Ugh, I second hating clothes!!! Maternity pants/shorts don't stay up, but I have an awful squishy muffin top in regular clothes :( I have no idea what I'm going to wear next week when the in-laws visit. So far I've been living in pj shorts and maternity tanks and put on maternity shorts/capris when I leave the house. 3 wks pp and have lost just over half the weight.

Are you BF? I would love to go braless but I'm scared the fabric rubbing on my nipples would kill me. Like too scared to even try it!

Normally if I'm at home I'm braless. Literally the first thing I would do when walking into the house was take off my bra and relish the sweet freedom! So wearing a bra 24/7 is driving me crazy.
  • When I am at home it's either yoga pants or if it's too hot then men's boxer shorts. If I go out I wear my maternity pants or shorts...too scared to try my pre pregnancy pants on!

Haha, I second this! I have ended up wearing a soft bra at night ever since I started BFing my DD 2.5 years ago due to the fear of nipple rub! (It did get a lot better but by then it was habit to wear a bra 24/7).

I have lost a bit more weight than I gained in pregnancy but the soft tummy is keeping me in maternity clothes. I carefully selected clothes that don't look particularly maternity though, so I don't mind continuing to wear them for a while!

  • Ok so don't hate me but I'm already 2kgs smaller (5lb?) than my pre pregnancy weight! I'm just wearing tank dresses and pantyhose with a billowy cardigan - it's just turned spring here
  • "Fat" clothes that i gathered after ds was born and strechy pants at home. I will not wear maternity if i can help it as i have a huge fear someone would think i had found the time and energy to get pregnant again.
  • I lost twenty pounds....from my prepreg weight....and I still feel flabby though. Everything fits though because I've lost so much.

  • I can get into the fat jeans (2 sizes bigger) that I bought after DD1, but they hurt my c-section incision right now and give me a muffin top, so I'm still wearing maternity jeans/shorts. I am wearing mostly maternity tops still too even though they look too big just cause they are longer and my normal shirts don't fit right quite yet. I am 3.5 weeks PP and have lost 25 and have 20 left to go. I gained about the same with my daughter and it took about 6 months to lose it all and get back into my old clothes. I was only about 100lbs pre-pregnancy though, so its a big size difference for me with 20 lbs extra hanging around :/ I'm looking forward to fall/winter and heavier clothing to hide things more. I'm also hoping my belly tightens back up soon. It did after DD1 but I hear its the second baby that really ruins your body...
  • I was very lucky to lose my extra preggo fluff within the first week PP. However, all of my pre-preggo jeans/shorts that I was able to wear right up until birth no longer fit. :( Hello wider hips. Anyone else having this issue? Will my hips ever go back? Currently living in nursing tanks minus bottoms...bottoms frustrate me. Not looking forward to going back to work in 2 1/2 weeks because that means I have to wear real people clothes again. And I'm just not ready for that.
  • 10 days pp, lucky enough to have lost 25 lbs so far, nothing fits so I've been wearing the same leggings and bra since I got home from the hospital... I've managed to shower only twice, so I guess clean clothes wouldn't really matter at this point anyways.
  • Leggings, yoga pants, tee shirts, and a
    Smile
  • Down 30lbs at 3 weeks, but havent even tried to fit bc I dont want to be disappointed bc I know I still have extra as everything isnt toned like it used to be. I live in PJ or sweats and maternity tanks at home. DH and I went to the store the other day and I went ahead and just wore my jessica simpson maternity jeans as they dont look like maternity and a maternity tank that had no rouching. I wont lie the band on the pants helped pull everything in so no muffin top like I might have in my pants and so I actually felt really good. Ill try my clothes on a week or so before I have to go to work.
  • I wear athletic shorts and tshirts while at home and normal pre-pregnancy clothes when I go out. I'm glad to be back in my normal clothes but they definitely don't fit the same yet. I'm down 30lbs since delivery but still have 10lbs to lose. I can't wait for my 6 week check up so I can start getting this extra weight off!

Yes, I am BF. Luckily, I rarely have leaking so I can. Now and then I get a few drops while nursing him. I just can't stand the bra these days! That's why I wear baggy shirts too so it isn't tight against my chest. I hate how my breast feels when I do wear a bra and unclip it to nurse, they feel so sore and heavy.

  • Leggings and oversized tops. Still looks cute. I'm down about 18 lbs but some of my clothes still don't look great on. I have about 18 more lbs to lose before being at pre-pregnancy birth weight. Thankful to have zero stretch marks on my tummy however the dark line has not disappeared yet.
  • I was super excited to button my pre-pregnancy jeans about 2 weeks pp! I definitely have a lot of toning to do, so if I wear them, I wear loose fitting tops. But "jeggings" and dresses are the most comfy now. The only maternity clothes I'm still wearing are leggings. And I may wear them forever bc they are so comfy, haha :-)
I tried sleeping without a bra one night, bc I do hate wearing bras generally. But no way. I woke up in tears my boobs hurt so bad. I need the support and extra layer thanks to BF'ing... Jocky sports bras are here to stay awhile!
  • I'm wearing my regular clothes when I leave the house. Yoga pants and tank top or bra when in the house.
  • I'm about 15 lbs less than my pre-pregnancy weight so my clothes don't fit right now. I'm basically living in Lululemon pants and nursing tanks.
  • Leggings and tank tops! I weigh less now than I did when I first got pregnant, but my squish makes me uncomfortable to try actual clothing on....
  • Maternity shorts/jeans or leggings. One pair of pre-pregnancy jeans fit but not quite how I'd like them to. Most of my normal bottoms feel uncomfortable on my incision so I'm not rushing into them. I only have about 7 lbs to lose BUT ON MY 5' body, that's a whole lot, I feel.
  • I packed away all of my pre pregnancy clothes to keep my closet orderly so I still need to pull my stuff out. DH did give me the go ahead to go to hw outlets in a few weeks for a shopping spree of nursing friendly casual/work clothes and workout clothing! Too excited!
