Early gender testing, sneakpeektest.com? UPDATE

Hey ladies. I cannot get my first ultraousnd until 20 weeks so in the next few weeks i was going to order a early detection gender test from https://sneakpeektest.com/ . Has anyone used this site or type of testing before?
I have seen reviews from Baby Center in January and lots of people got false results. I will NOT be using ANY gender test. I will be paying for a ultrasound from a gender revel lab around 15 weeks for only $65.00!!!!

I was dead set on doing this then I came across a discussion on baby center where it was only right 56% of the time. I decided not to waste my money on something I won't believe. I'll be asking my Dr at my 12 week check up if he'll do an ultrasound at 16 weeks and if not I'll just pay for an elective one. - Loading the player...

I just did a bunch of reading about it and it seems like it's not always accurate. There/s a huge post about it on baby center, a bunch of girls ordered it and a significant number of their results were wrong.You could always get an elective ultrasound... there are a bunch of places around where I live where you can pay to get an ultrasound/sex check around 15 weeks.Amanda******************************

There are probably a dozen elective places in my city that all guarantee gender selection at 14 weeks. So far they've been right for me with DS and every single one of my friends who has gone to them.First BFP 12/2012, MMC at 9 weeksSecond BFP 6/2013, resulted in DS, born 2/23/14 :-)Third BFP 5/2015, natural MC at 6 weeksFourth BFP 8/2015, hoping for sticky little brother or sister to H!Proud SAHM to our little monkey H.Pro Vax, extended breasftfeeder, ring sling and stroller loving mama. You CAN wait... but the good news is that if you would rather find out sooner, you can. We have a mess of baby stuff in our basement, which we are planning to renovate and remodel before baby comes. I would love to know if I'm NOT having another boy so that I can get rid of the 400 boxes of baby boy clothes. People have their reasons for finding out. Also I wouldn't really call it "a fortune". The blood test is $99 (granted it doesn't really work so $1 would be too much). I can find out the sex in an early ultrasound where I live for $59. I also have a garage full of bins with boy clothes I would also like to start going through if it's a girl. I know if I wait longer than I'm going to be more overwhelmed with preparing a nursery and then actually having a newborn and it won't get done for a year.

Last time I was team green and we found out accidently right before our baby shower. Dh and I have decided that because our life is in upheaval these days that we want to find out so that we can kind of focus and ground ourselves. To each his own, though. As in all things do what is right for your family! -

When my RE was going over the results of our PGD testing, of course we were more concerned with making sure we had healthy embryos to transfer and/or freeze and were delighted to find out that 3 out of 5 were not abnormal, but when the doctor asked if we wanted to know the sex of each embryo I practically jumped out of my seat and barked "Yes!" in his face. I had no interest in being surprised. All three embryos were the same sex, so we could not select according to our preference, but it has been great knowing. We've chosen a name, have begun planning a nursery, and we feel like we know a little bit more about our unborn baby than we would have otherwise at this point, which makes him seem a little more "real" (I'm extremely reticent after years of infertility and barely able to process that I'm actually pregnant). Everyone is different, and I respect both points of view. There's certainly nothing to justify in wanting to know and feeling that little bit more familiarity toward your unborn baby. To each his own. I find it odd that anyone would muster the energy to be offended by it. -

If insurance covers it, the blood test is an accurate way to find out early (10 weeks). Otherwise, ultrasound is really accurate (with increasing accuracy from about 12 to 16 weeks as features become more developed) as long as baby cooperates. Beyond those two methods, everything else seems to be guesswork.
