Hi I've been a member here for almost two years now. I don't drop in as often as i should Last week I had day3 blood work done my AMH is 2.18 & FSH is 5.3. Doc said its within normal limits considering my age (39). Last year my AMH was 3.3. DH has to do another SA & I have to do more blood work TSH, prolactin, & FT4. Wish me luck & good luck to you all

Re: Day 3 blood work

  • Are you going to test your saliva as well? It's the most reliable way to test hormonal levels.

  • @C_Girlie wishing you luck and it's nice to see an update from you :)
    Lilypie Pregnancy tickers
  • @BulgariHeart is that an over the counter type of tear. Thanks @thistle8677
  • Not over the counter, there are labs that specialize in that type of test who will mail you a kit. You mail back your samples and then receive the results from the lab. Usually your doctor tells you on what cycle days to collect your saliva samples for an optimal reading. I don't see regular doctors so when I say doctor I mean a homeopath or naturopath but you might still want to ask your doctor about it. And your DH should get his saliva tested as well.
Let me see if I have some literature about it....

Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

  • @KLake42 by your username I'm guessing your 42, so your numbers might be good. Thx @lyssaroony
  • @C_Girlie
Ha!  No, actually, the 42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything.  But it's not my age.  I'm 38.  So compared to me, your numbers are awesome!
