Re: Twatwaffle Tuesday?

  • This just made my day :)

Speaking of waffles, DS stole half of my waffle this morning and now I'm hungry :(

  • My sister is being the worst kind of twatwaffle, a dumb twatwaffle. Her boyfriend, the father of her one-year-old, is an "ex drug addict" an alcoholic, and has the personality of a cartoon villain.

A few weeks ago she was just about to leave him; I was even setting up the custody lawyer for her. Then his parents panicked about possibly losing their ability to see the baby all the time and offered to buy them a new apartment if they stayed together. And bam - my sister and the baby were bought and paid for.

I tried to to tell her that she's going to have the same old problems in a shiny new apartment, but it fell on deaf ears. I'm sad, worried, and mad. But, I'm done lecturing her. I don't want her to stay with him because she thinks she has something to prove.

SFIL is being terrible today. We told them about 2.0 last night. MIL was excited and he didn't know what to say. He watches DD and I know he's disappointed she'll head to day care once this one is born (he doesn't think he has the energy for two).

This morning he called at 530 and said we had to drop off DD later after 8 because he had thing to do. DH waited the extra hour and dropped hter off. Now he called me at work and wants her picked up by 430. He was short and grumpy. He also said that he needs his sanity and so he wont cut nap time. If she wants to sleep hes going to let her sleep. Lately she been taking 4+ hour naps in the afternoon. She is a pain to put to bed and then wakes up in the middle of the night. I work until 4, usually later and my drive is 30 mins. This has never been a problem.

DH and I refuse to take any crap from him about this pregnancy and it not being planned.

  • My manager is a twatwaffle big time today! I worked on sat and sun ( my days off) moving our medical office to a new building . I worked an additional 16 hours of hard labor this weekend ( because most of the staff was "busy" this weekend) and it caused me to start spotting again! Then she has the nerve to call me today on my only day off this week to come in on opening day ! Um no

I love the word "twatwaffle". No one's being a major one right now, but I did just get an email from my realtor asking if we'd be willing to leave our curtain rods, curtains, blinds and pot and pan rack for the buyers. Uhhhh.... I need those things in my new house, buyers! I'll leave them if you give me at least $200 to cover the cost of buying new ones! You're not getting shit for free from me!
Our buyer's realtor - she completely slandered our attorney and accused us of trying to cover up a short sale (we have never missed a payment on our house and will make 5 figures from the sale.
  • My new boss is being a passive aggressive crazy person today- well more so today than usual. She also keeps forgetting entire conversations and projects. How is it that the prego can remember things clearly, and she can't??

After this little one arrives, I am definitely looking for a new job. Trying to keep a positive attitude as I suck it up for the next year or so.
  • Um totally loving Twatwaffle... what an exquisite word!

Sony/Geek Squad - replace my display on my laptop with a sub-par screen while it's still under manufacturer warranty!  I paid for the fancy shit, therefore, I want the fancy shit replaced.  On top of that, to tell me that factory restoring my computer might magically produce more pixels?!  HEL-LO I teach technology!  IDIOTS!
  • twatwaffle.. bawhahaha. That is going to be my new word.

One of my employees is overstepping and it bothers me. She had an issue with a different department and instead of me addressing it at 4pm on a Friday, I addressed it at 8am on Monday so that it would be fresh in that departments minds and not forgotten over the weekend. She just let me know that wasn't good enough and next time she'll take care of it herself. I'm about to say, "by all means, you get 'em girl".

  • YES !! This is one of the many reasons I missed the TTC board. They did this.

I don't have anyone to call out today, but I am so glad we are doing this now.

    :D

  • The first trimester is being a twatwaffle. I have work I need to get done, but can't focus on anything. I am hungry, but everything I can think of to eat sounds like it will make me barf. I slept for almost 9 hours, but am still exhausted. So ready for second tri and really hoping it gets better soon.

Sony and Geek Squad are the worst combination! I had a computer replaced three times (in the first three months) because their pre-loaded antivirus destroyed it each time. The battery died after a year and was replaced. Just before the two year mark, I received a notice that the battery was corrupted. I will never step foot in a Best Buy again, nor will I buy another Sony. I'm a Mac person for life now!
  • My DS is in a biting twatwaffle phase. When he gets upset or excited, he bites me. Only me. Not my husband or any of his grandparent or other kids. He stopped it for a few weeks, but it's back full swing. We do 60 second timeouts in the corner during which he runs in place and cries. He's lucky he's cute, but boy. ... Twatwaffle to the max!

  • Me! I am in the worst mood today. Fortunately, I can just be lazy with DS today and chill out.
  • I'm a dispatcher/secretary at work and in charge of truck drivers for our company, I would like to nominate a few of our drivers. They are such whiners sometimes over small petty things. There is one guy who whines about the same thing every morning and throughout the day. I'm typically a calm nice person but I broke down and told him, "Hey you chose this job, if you don't like it go find something else." He didn't like that response, oh well.
  • My coworker is being a twatwaffle! She is complaining and being dramatic about the littlest things. Meanwhile I've thrown up already at work today and now I'm pushing through a bad migraine and continued nausea, all in silence because no one knows. Did I mention she has a loud, shrill voice and laugh?!? Ugh!
  • @AliSummer I'm sorry to take away from your post but "the personality of a cartoon villain" made me bust out laughing at my desk. I so needed this laugh today since I'm in a funk with the neverending nausea. My cubemates have given me the side eye.

@AEG84 YES!! This morning sickness thing is for the birds!
  • @KDBH13, I would die. My old man dog thankfully has laid off the smelly farts recently!

  • Oh twatwaffle....how I love using that word! Today, that would be pinned on the lady in front of me at Starbucks.  All I wanted was a simple Strawberry Acai' Refresher...you literally spent 7 minutes ordering in the drive-thru before I backed out and drove off...I was already running late thanks to morning sickness.  I didn't get my drink.  I hope they messed up your order!!
