TMI?

i had a second degree Tear & the doctor stitched me up afterwards, well it's been about 6 weeks so my husband & I tried to have sex but I had to make him stop before we even got started. I REALLY feel like my doctor stitched me up too tight. Any of yall feel the same way? Or can give advice?!

Re: TMI?

  • Lots of lube and take it slow. It may take a couple of tries. You will be able to do a little more each time. Good luck & I hope your husband is patient.

  • Yessss. Sex after baby was worse than losing my virginity! Lube helped a ton. It's been a few weeks now, and it still hurts if we try to get to crazy but its way better. Good luck!
  • We've only done it once and it was very uncomfortable. It is supposed to get better, so we'll keep trying!!
  • Wait until your 6 week appointment!!! With my first baby, I actually healed wrong and was basically stitched up too much. The doctor said if I had tried to have sex before my check up I would have been in a lot of pain! I had to be re-cut and re-stitched. Not fun.

  • I feel so sad for you ladies, I have never had a vaginal birth tried with DS1 and turned into emergency c section and planned for DS2 after reading all your posts I think c section Healing was so much easier.
  • Ugh! Praying I don't need to do that! It just sucks because my appointment is at 8 weeks instead of 6 weeks & I've been wanting to have sex for 3 weeks already! Lol
  • Yes! It hurt way worse than losing my virginity & he didn't even go in at all lol I was like whoa buddy we're going to have to stop for tonight
  • He couldn't care less lol I'm the impatient one!

I think everyone heals differently. I had two vaginal deliveries. With this most recent delivery, I never had any discomfort and I also tore requiring stitches. I never needed ice, Tylenol or any other pain alleviates. No discomfort after the 6 week check up either. Every body is different.
