6 years since I was pregnant with my first.

hello mom's. I was wondering how you all feel about the time gap between siblings. is 6 years great or is their cons. I'm so excited to be a mom to another little. But is 6 years too far out of the loop from the hardships of the early years.

    My older brother and I are a few years apart and then there is a seven year gap between me and my next little sister. We still did all of the fun sister stuff together, got in fights, and helped each other out. Now that we're older, the age difference hardly matters.

    My son is 11 and he'll be 12 when this baby is born. I like the age gap because it gives some of the advantages of being an only child and having a sibling. Plus, he's old enough to be a helping hand and he'll be babysitting age in a few years.

    My son will turn 5 in January. For us, the age gap works well. DS has cousins his age that he grew up with and they're best buds. From my POV it definitely feels like I'm starting over again though. Next one will probably not be such a large gap.

    My daughter will be 13 when this one is born. My siblings range from 5 years younger than me to 18 years younger than me, and I wouldn't trade the relationships I have with any of them, for anything. Six years may seem like a lot but there will be a lot of opportunities for them to bond, you'll see :-)

    I'm currently pregnant with my first, so I don't have the perspective of being a mother, but my little brother is six years younger than I am and we've always been super close.  I think it's a great gap!  When we were kids we were far enough apart in age not to get on each other's nerves--no fighting for the same toys, that sort of thing--and now that we're older we're close enough in age that we feel more like peers.  It's so cheesy to say, but he's really like my best friend.  So from my perspective as a sibling, six years was awesome.  :)

    My older brother is 12 years older than me and we have a wonderfully close relationship.
