Had my first previa bleed...

And it was one of the scariest situations in my life. Started with spotting, but within 10 minutes, a clot the size of a baseball passed. I've never been so scared for my unborn child, even if bleeding is"expected" with previa. We are 75 miles from the hospital, so I called the ambulance right away. Hubby waited for child care and followed closely behind! The bleeding slowed and stopped a few hours later, and baby boy has been active the whole time!
Ultrasound showed it was a small tear that had been pooling blood for a few days and I must have had a few minor contractions that opened the cervix slightly. It also showed that baby is measuring 10 days ahead-awesome in this situation! We've also had 2 steroid shots for lung development. Bed rest until delivery(early October is the goal). Scary stuff but I'm so thankful for amazing nurses and doctors! We're also very excited to go home today!

this all sounds so scary! i am so glad things are okay. it sounds like you and your hubby are staying calm and prepared and know what to do. i hope your LO stays cozy in there for another month or so!
