Hey guys first time pregnant woman here... I am a scardy cat when it comes to going to the doctor. I am most nervous about all the poking and prodding.
Do you guys know what test you are going to get done?
There are so many things you can read on the Internet to make you weary of certain ones.
Re: What test are you getting?
Me- 25,DH-28
We are not doing any genetic testing. We didn't with DS either. DH and I have health and family histories that put us in a very low risk category.
It will be the typical PIAC every appointment, pap, initial blood panel including routine HIV testing, GD test at 28 weeks (unless OB requests an earlier test like last time at 20 weeks), initial transvaginal ultrasound on Thursday, anatomy scan around 20 weeks, and any additional US's and NST's as requested by my OB. (I was high risk with DS and had 10 US's and 12 NST's during that pregnancy.)
I may spring for the cell- free DNA testing if my insurance will cover it. But again that's only a blood test, nothing invasive.

Probably at least a couple ultrasounds, depending on what my OB wants. Anatomy scan for sure, and I'm considering an NT scan. Maybe a size and position scan later on if my OB wants it?
I'm due for a pap smear, so I'll do that at my first appointment I think. And then probably nothing where I have to take my pants off again until group B strep at the end, and last time I opted for the cervix check when I approached my due date.
