Mom's Birthday is the same day as my shower

It just so happens that my mom's birthday is the same day as my baby shower next Sunday.  She isn't one to make a big deal of birthdays (especially hers), and she was one of the people that decided to have my shower that day (it's my mom, cousin, and aunts throwing/planning the shower).  When she originally asked me if the day would work, I pointed out to her that it was her birthday.  Her response was that it was "just a birthday."  So, she obviously isn't concerned or complaining that she doesn't get her birthday. :-)

To my question...I want to do something during the shower to acknowledge that it is her birthday.  I originally thought about getting a birthday cake to bring, but I'm sure there will already be plenty of cake...my aunts tend to go overboard when it comes to food and baby/wedding showers :-).  Does anyone have any other suggestions for something special I could to do for my mom during the shower??

    My sister's birthday was the day of my shower. I just made a comment that it was her birthday and then we went and got a pedicure afterward.

    Im in Australia so unsure if you have them where you are, but a lot of our bookstores sell "memories from grandma" type books- like a baby book you record all your baby milestones in but its specifically written so grandparents can record in it. Something like that might be simple and a nice personal gesture? :)

    You could bring her a fancy cupcake with a candle in.it and sing happy birthday!
