bleeding:/ tmi bit need help

Hey ladies, I'm knew to this. I am about 8 weeks and 2 days, yesterday had a SMALL tinge of orange/brown discharge.. today a little more came out when I wiped and its not blood blood its like actually discharge no menstrual lik cramps just feels like very very light cramps not even painful just annoying anyone know what that is?

    To me (and my limited medical knowledge) most ladies know that spotting is normal and even bleeding can be. Dark/brown blood is old blood.
    That's being said you said it is discharge and NOT blood, so this is definitely something you need to being to your attention of your OB; even if it is nothing. I do not (and am not judging your situation) but possibilities include the result of STD exposure, normal spotting even if it doesn't look so, or a myriad of different things.
    Your OB would be your best resource on this one. Also, the high-risk board maybe isn't your best bet for a good answer. Many of these ladies are dealing with an incompetent cervix, various levels of bed rest, serious birth defects, IUGR, cord abnormalities, uterine abnormalities, etc. Maybe try your OB's office first and birth month board?
    I really hope it's just a case of odd-tinged spotting but I've never come across a post like this before. Your OB would be able to run a litany of tests and possible a transvag US.

    I definitely suggest going to your OB. Im currently 15wks and experienced spotting and old blood discharge and it turned out to be blood from a blood clot i have behind my placenta. Im now on bed rest for 4 weeks. Not pools or baths (high risk of causing infection) Even tho people say this and that is normal during pregnancy, every person's body responds differently to pregnancy. When it comes to blood or small colored discharge, I personally, think its better to be safe than sorry.

    Yes call your ob to make sure you are alright. This is second baby and i bleed for months while i am pregnant. The are not sure why, but i just make sure that my baby is alright. Some women do bleed several k I nths of their pregnancy, then it tapers off.

    Probably the high risk board isn't where you need to be.
    I bleed off and on and I'm almost 25 weeks and high risk for other reasons. You could have just irritated your cervix, could be break through bleeding, could be a yeast infection, could be absolutely nothing. Call your GP or OB and just tell them; they will probably do nothing though at this stage.

    I spotted thinking I had gotten my period, when my periods are usually real heavy. So when I was just getting the spotting, that's when I took a test and it was positive. Went to the doctor and sure enough there was a mini me in there :) it could be the baby attaching to you, or something more serious. I agree with the other ladies and go see your OB. If your concerned for miscarriage ask them to do a sonogram. 8 weeks is usually when they do the first one anyways.
