8 week prenatal appointment

hi! I have my 8 week appointment on Friday. Just wondering what to expect since I'm typically an anxious person by nature lol

    Most likely bloodwork, confirmation of pregnancy and due date. Maybe an ultrasound. My first pregnancy I didn't get an ultrasound until 20 weeks so that is why I say maybe. Every Dr.'s practice is different.

    Ultrasound, bloodwork, pelvic exam and Pap smear, urinalysis. Lots of paperwork. They'll give you reading material about Dos and Donts of pregnancy. They'll let you know the schedule of future appointments, optional genetic testing, what symptoms to expect, when they want you contact them (for example, if you experience any pain you would rate a 7 or above or any bleeding or excessive vomiting etc). It's overwhelming so be sure to bring a list of questions. Good luck!
