Me too! My first spoiled me and came 9 days early. This one decided it never wants to come out. I am convinced it's because I didn't want to find out if it was a boy or girl this time. Now I want to know silly baby!
same here. was due on the 31st but doesnt look like he is coming. last night i started getting regular contractions for the first time. started at 7 minutes apart on the dot and for 3 hours they went on all the way until i was about 4:55 apart and then everything just went totally calm. I was so bummed out. So looks like a September baby for me too! I haven't been checked in 2 weeks so i have no idea how i have progressed which is really frustrating. but at 38 weeks i was only 25% effaced and not dilated. Im sure things could be totally different by now at 40+1 but i wont hold my breath.

I have an appointment tomorrow and am hoping for some exciting news about the progress! It would be even better if I didn't make it until then. @mkeip when's your next appointment?
@kahlya88 My appointment is tomorrow. They are going to do another cervical check and do a stress test. hopefully if i dont go by the weekend i can just get induced.

@mkeip Well let's both hope we end up going in tonight! My OB hasn't said anything about a stress test or ultrasound (from what I've read checking fluid levels is common when you're late term). But I will definitely be asking... I don't necessarily want to be induced, but the stress of worrying can't be good either. Come on babies, we're ready for you! >:D<
Same here my first was 2 weeks early but this time I'm in it for the long haul. 40+3 today and I'm scheduled for an induction next Thursday. It's so annoying because last time my body went into labor on its own and knew what to do. Not so much this time around!

@wendydecent at least there is a few of us all feeling this pain! Any upcoming appointments? I had a S&S done this afternoon and have been having some pretty decent contractions in the last hour so am hoping this could be it! [-O< DH has made me laugh in saying I better just love the painful ones when they come because of how often I say I wish they were stronger hahahha! I have another appointment for Friday early AM if it doesn't happen on its own before then. Hopefully soon, hopefully soon. FX for all of us late Mommas.
I definetly could have gotten the dr to schedule an induction earlier but we all (husband, myself and dr) decided it was safer if I went into labor on my own. With inductions come risks for infection, bleeding and a c-section). I'd feel super selfish if I pushed for something this week and ended up with some awful complication or an emergency c- section when I could have just waited a few more days. As much as a scheduled induction would make arranging childcare and work plans easier, I'd rather try to let nature take its course.
Also (and I know I'm a dork for thinking this far ahead but I used to teach kindergarten so I can't help it) a September birthday is better for school. If I had her on my due date, she would have started kindergarten as a 4 year old and always have been the youngest in her class. Now she'll get an extra year of preK and be among the oldest and hopefully more mature.

I have an appointment tomorrow morning. In the am. To see if anything is even happening yet (( an.ld to go from there!! 41 weeks tomorrow!! Good luck to you as well momma
I'm 40 and 4 today, just had an appointment and another sweep. Being placed on the induction list on Monday and feeling a little discouraged and frustrated. Hoping something happens over the weekend.
I just got back from the OB as well. I'm a little dilated, but no progress from appointment on Wednesday when he did the stretch and sweep. He didn't even bother to do another one today as there is no point in being crampy for no reason. The babes head isn't engaged at all. I am on call to go to hospital tomorrow for the gel, and then go back on Sunday for the oxytocin. Doesn't look like he is going to come on his own! But on the positive side I guess it will all be done soon. Here's hoping to a relatively easy induction and delivery for the rest of us August Mommas that are still waiting to meet their little one!
40weeks5days. My doctor won't let me go beyond 42 weeks so at my next Tuesday appointment we'll be discussing induction. I'm hoping he comes soon, but at least I know there is an end date to being pregnant!
