First of all I want to thank everyone who has been over to the HR board following my journey and also on this board so much for all of your kind words and support.... To fill the rest of you in, due to a troubling Anatoly scan, the HR doctor that was I was referred to has recommended an amino this morning. I am absolutely SICK about this. Initially they said that if the pediatric cardio specialist rilednohh AVSD than that is the only reason why I should have an amino. They did rule that out (thank god), however in the ultrasound my baby has a "small left heart" and they want to see if there is a chromosomal abnormality that perhaps wasn't picked up on the blood tests that needs to be addressed. The NOT KNOWING is absolutely nerve racking and for the safety of my baby I want to know now if there is anything else wrong. The small left heart is something that can potentially correct itself, however it is likely that my little boy will at least need one heart surgery following his birth.
Thankfully I live in Toronto 10 minutes away from Sick Kids Hospital and in have already been referred there just to be SAFE. People come from all over the world with their kids to get to his hospital.
I am well aware that there is risk in amnio. I have had a couple of friends have seemingly "perfect pregnancies" and then something turn out to be very wrong in the pregnancy after 25 weeks and also having problems that they were unaware of after baby was born. I want to be prepared.
So please keep my baby in your prayers over the next few days... I sure hope that he can rest while I am waiting for these results because I know that I won't!
Good luck today @andreachristine81 we are all thinking of you and your LO. Try to stay calm, breathe and think positive. I will keep you in my prayers today.

Well I am 9 hours past procedure and so far so good... My doctor was reassuring this morning. Due to my blood results being negative even though it is possible, it is unlikely that we are looking at a serious chromosome issue... They also said that the heart issue has not been "diagnosed" for anything specific yet. It is small, but could be a simple fix. I am trying to keep the glass half full attitude... Thank you so much everyone for your support!!!
Thanks for the update. Been thinking of you today and glad to hear the procedure is behind you and that you got some reassurance from the doctors today. I hope you get your results soon - waiting is the hardest part. Hugs!
48 hours past procedure! Tomorrow I am seeing the head of echocardiography at Sick Kids Hospital at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Results for amino are at 3:15 p.m. tomorrow. I am looking forward to and dreading tomorrow all at the same time. Besides the actual birth of my baby I feel like tomorrow is one of the most pivotal days of my life.

I feel terrible for not posting on here!! AMNIO RESULTS WERE 100 percent normal !! So none of the trisomy' for my baby and it's confirmed that he is a little boy !! He does have a coarctation of his aorta and will need surgery four days after he is born... It is the least invasive surgery that he could possibly need. Initially from the scans we thought it was something much worse than the coarctation. We suspected HLHS which is incredibly difficult to manage. Even though I would love my son regardless I am so relieved that what is wrong with his heart is correctable at birth and has a 99 percent chance of never causing another problem. He also seems to be moving around more lately - at least I notice it more!! I love it !! I wish January would hurry up and get here!
@andreachristine81 that's great news! I'm so glad that the results were not for the worse cases. I'm sure the surgery will go well, you can't do better than Sick Kids Hospital. Make sure to keep us informed after he is born!
