Upset and overdue :(

So, I'm a FTM and my sweet, sweet angel has decided to stay in and make herself extra comfy. I'm two days overdue, with no progression on labor and delivery. I've been dilated to a 1 for the past three weeks. I'm really discouraged, I'm so ready to meet my girl! Any words of encouragement or how to jumpstart this whole process?

    You made it this far. It's a matter of days now and you will have your baby. My doctor told me he doesn't believe anything (foods, sex, etc.) makes baby come until ready but if it's on the verge of happening, walking might push it along a little.

    Right there with you.  every small contraction I hope is the beginning.  but I have been having those for a couple of months.overdue 2 days and going for an induction tonight and I just want baby to come out on her own!!!!

    I've been having contractions since Thursday night with no progress than I was before which was 1 cm. So looking like my induction on Wednesday is going to happen. I don't know how I'm going to do it with how much energy the ones I'm having are taking. So hopefully everything goes fine. Good luck

    I know your pain. I'm 40 weeks and 4 days. I get induced tomorrow morning and was hoping all week that he would come on his own. I had my breaking point earlier this week and all of the ladies offered some encouraging words. Try to enjoy these last few days of feeling LO inside of you. I would say I get most of my contractions after walking or execising a bit. But obviously it hasn't sent me to the hospital. It does help with aches and pains though and it clears my mind. Good luck and hang in there.

    Right there with you! I'm 3 days overdue & showing little sign of anything starting up. I've been feeling nauseous all day & just ready to hold my baby girl. We'll all be holding our LOs within the next few days, the end is near!

    Hang in there! It is definitely hard but your baby will be here before you know it. I was wound up like a top over being overdue but once I had an induction date I was able to relax. She came on her own almost a week later after lots and lots of walking

    Same here i'm 3 days overdue. We just have to wait to get to hold them. The docter said to me its not when we are ready its when they are so just enjoy it. Spend quality time with your partner and try to relax.

    Just try to relax. I know that's hard to hear, because I was angry last Wednesday at 40+4 with no change in my cervix in over 4 weeks. Then, Friday/Sat night at midnight, my contractions started out of nowhere and I went into full blown labor. My doctor and I both thought I was a long way off yet. It can happen out of nowhere!!

    Toughest mental game ever....we are 40+3 (only 1cm dilated) and I really want to give her until 42 weeks to come on her own but turning down an induction was the hardest thing I've ever had to do!! You start to feel like you're going to turn it down during week 40 only to end up induced the following week anyways! The waiting is the hardest part. So glad you shared that you ended up going into labor despite no big symptoms! Gives me hope!

    I'm 40 weeks and 3 days today.. She has dropped... But NO dilation. And my cervix is in the back still! I have ANOTHER dr appointment Friday (41 weeks) to see if anything has changed... I'm just so defeated!! :( I wanna cry..

    Same here. Was due 29th. Had a membrane sweep yesterday and midwife seemed to think I could be another 5 days! I can't wait that long! Hubby stressing too, he's working an hour away and scared of missing anything! Tried to explain he should have more than enough time to get back! Lol

    I'm not even dilated :( so I can't get a membrane sweep :(. I'm now 4 days over due. And I'm ready for this baby! Can't wait for my next appointment. So hopefully I can have this baby!!

    I was right at 41 weeks when lo was born. Try having sex and walk a lot to get things going. And not just a slow walk, a brisk one. Also, getting your membrane stripped is supposed to help. (I don't think it did anything for me though) stay up and moving unless your doc says otherwise! My motto was "Let's walk this baby out"
