Amazon Moms?

If there are any other "Amazon Moms" on here there is a pretty good discount on Pampers Swaddlers in NB (possibly other sizes too didn't check). I have Amazon prime, am an Amazon mom member, and do the subscribe and save program (which gets you 20%off diapers and 15% off the rest of your order). In addition to those discounts there is a $5 off Pampers coupon right now. I just added a case of 128 diapers to my subscribe and save for this month and the total price for it including tax is $24.67! The same case at Walmart is $34.94 before tax or the case of 88 at target is $24.99 before tax, so this is a pretty great deal. I will have 2 out of my 3 kids in diapers so I'm on the lookout for great diaper deals just thought I would share:)

A tip I just picked up on, Sam's Club is usually cheaper than amazon. I didn't know this until about a week ago. So if yall don't want to pay for Amazon mom once your free trial is up, check em out!

@ngarcia1119 I love the convienience of home delivery too especially bc my local target doesn't always carry the bigger cases. I have only had about a three month gap in the last 4 years where I did not have a kid in diapers or pull ups. I have yet to see anywhere that can beat the constantly good discount I get from Amazon.

Does anyone know if Amazon Prime and Amazon Mom have the same discounts/benefits? If you are already a member of Prime, do you have to pay to become a member of Mom?

Amazon prime isn't free though. So if you don't order from amazon too often then it's not worth the $99....to me, anyways.

I am able to get a student Prime account through my work for $49. Amazon Mom would still be $99. Trying to figure out if it is worth it to spend the extra money on Mom, or just sign up for Prime. I've already gone through a free trial, so whichever I choose I have to pay for right away.

If you open a registry on Amazon, you get a 10% completion coupon, but if you are a member, you get 15% off. Because we got the car seat and stroller and a bunch of other things, getting Amazon mom basically paid for itself.

Totally agree that if you will not use it on a monthly basis than it may not be worth the money for you. For us I get 15% off all of my subscribe and save and 20% on my diapers so its well worth it. My daughter is a yr and a half so when I have the new bb my diaper and pull up savings alone will pay for my membership. I also order my household supplies like Tide detergent, Dishwasher soap, Paper towels, Toilet paper, mine and DH's razors (just got an 8 pk of gillette fusion for $23 with discounts the 4 pk is $19 in store!), baby aquaphor and Eucerin 3 pks, Carnation instant breakfast cases etc... all on Subscribe and Save. It's cool bc you can add and delete stuff all the time if you find a better deal. Plus you can set each item to deliver like ever month or multiple months apart. I have a CostCo membership as well and so far they can't beat the diaper or formula price for the specific brands that I have used. That being said if I bought Costco brand or like Sam's club brand diapers it might be cheaper. I'm a pampers die hard fan though so Amazon Mom has worked best for me:)

@VioletandRose if you have Amazon prime, whether you get the student rate or not (my husband does) you get Amazon mom for free. It should not be $99 if you have the student rate, it should be included in your $49 yearly rate, ours is. I would chat with someone on there and find out what's up with that if you were told differently.

My registry is on Amazon, and they sent an ad to join amazon mom for $99. I'm not a prime member. I'm already a member at costco, and the kirkland brand is about .18 cents a piece. I can't find any cheaper than that, but they may suck. Plus delivery would be nice. I'm going to try a few brands and see what works best for us then make my final decision on what's the best deal.

Don't forget that Amazon prime comes with streaming and photo storage. Though a club store may be cheaper, there might be a better overall investment with Prime. I'm not sure since I'm not a club member. But we have Amazon prime. I pretty much got it for the photo storage at the time but I love it.

That wasn't the case for me. I also have the $49 Amazon Student prime account and while it covers almost everything else that regular Prime does, it doesn't cover Amazon Mom benefits.  When I tried to sign up for Amazon Mom on my current account a few weeks ago, the website prompted me that it would have to change my membership from a Student to a regular Prime membership and charge me $99 for the year to proceed.

Edit: Here's what I got from the website "Important: Existing Amazon Student members are not eligible to receive Amazon Mom benefits without upgrading to a $99/year Prime membership"

https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nfeeohhnaax7  , if your husband was able to get them to give you amazon mom for free or even as a trial though, please let us know how because it would be useful and I know sometimes Amazon will bend the rules for it's customers.

@violetigerlily we've been Prime members for a few years now, but we signed up for Amazon Mom back in February when we found out I was pregnant. All he did was hit join. Maybe they changed their rules since we've joined, but I logged into our account and we paid our membership fee a few weeks after we joined Amazon Mom and it was only $49 (actually it was 52.43 - who knew they charged tax on a membership?). It also says that we'll be charged $49 in 2016. Maybe we just got lucky.
