Facebook group

I was wondering if there was a Facebook group already or if I made one now would everyone be interested yet. I have a hard time keeping up with threads on here it is so much easier on FB. I will be 11 weeks Tuesday so I think just about half of us should be getting close to our 12 weeks mark.

There are millions of facebook threads in this group already. General consensus is that it's way too early. But there have been several groups started already.

Ok. I was just asking because I haven't seen any posts about it. We started my last mom group when we were about 11-13 weeks and it worked well. We are still in a group and my son is 2 1/2. I have met with many of them in person and feel it is way more benificial to be in a Facebook group and still stay here. I get to know the ladies more on FB and feel more like everyone cares.

It's totally ok. I understand everyone has their preferences. I am going to start one because I only found one and it has February and March moms and I prefer to keep it a closer group to all march moms. If anyone is interested just message me and I can add you.

Yeah my guess is there is about 3-4 fb groups already...

In my last birth month group we didn't start a FB group till our babies were 6 months old. I think by then we had developed real friendships and not just drive bys. Some other ladies did bit I don't think the groups lasted that long. Give it time. You cannot force a friendship when you barely know each other.

I feel the total opposite. You can't make friendships unless you get to know someone and on here it is just not easy to. I had a wonderful experience with a FB group last time and we started very early. It was fun getting to know those women through everything. There are too many people here to remember anyone.

@Torpedogirl I respectfully disagree. I'd rather get to know some of the women here first, even if it is a little harder to keep track of who is who (although I will say I don't really have an issue with this myself because I try to be an active user). The alternative being giving people that you don't know access to your personal information before getting to know them.

I think it takes longer than a few weeks of a few conversations with strangers here and there to know that I'd be comfortable with them knowing my real name (which isn't common) and therefore opening a door to stranger danger. The internet is a weird place and I personally feel more comfortable with the anonymity of TB than FB. For now at least.

But like all things, to each their own! As mentioned before there should be a few groups already formed so finding one you like shouldn't be a problem. Good luck!

I'm 100% with you on this. With the way the world is today you just can't really trust everyone. We've got crazies luring pregnant women into messed up situations and just straight up weirdos in general. It's sad but it's true and you gotta look out for you and your family. That's just how I see it.

I just came on to ask the same thing. I too hadn't seen any posts and I love my March 2011 and August 2013 groups so would love to be active in a group for this LO too. Like you we started early too and id be much more active on FB than here!!!
