ARG! Do you ladies mind if i rant for a bit?

So we created our registry online. We used baby list, which allows you to pull items off of every website and have them all in one place.(for example, crib from wal mart, bouncer from amazon, such and such from babies r us, etc)

Well, I should have known this might cause some confusion for older relatives. Haha so my grandma wanted to purchase our crib and have it shipped to our house. The crib we wanted was located on wal Marts website, not available in stores. So my grandma had a bit of confusion with navigating the website but she ended up figuring it out and we received the crib earlier today. Whoo hoo!... Only the box says "espresso" color and not "pebble grey" color like what was on our registry. :((

so I just assume my grandmother made a mistake and didn't want to make her feel bad on top of the confusion she already experienced. So I call walarts customer service and ask what I'm able to do without a receipt or anything because, again, I'd rather her not know there was an issue so as not to make her feel bad or anything.

So, easy enough remedy. Just take it into the store, they can return in for store credit, I can reorder with the correct color. Granny will be none the wiser. However! Upon getting home I take a closer look at the box and find the order number. Just out of curiosity I go back on the website and look up the tracking info. Tell me why it says PEBBLE GREY color?!? (which was the correct color) so my poor grandma didn't even make a mistake, they did!!! So now I want to call back because why am I responsible for taking it in and reordering it when they are the ones that effed up?!?!

Grr. Sorry so long ladies, thanks for bearing with me. Haha

  • @mhawman246 it def made my day crappier that's for sure. We'll see how easy it ends up being to get it replaced. If I reorder it and still get the wrong color I will shed some tears for sure.

    B/c- Walmart. I'd go Ikea if I wanted to save $. I know this stuff can happen anywhere, but I hate Walmart & try to never shop there if possible. Sorry for the frustration, hopefully they handle the exchange for you!

    Yes, I'm glad it was able to get taken care of without inconveniencing my grandma any further. That was a plus as well :)

    Same here! I actually saw the crib on Pinterest and fell in love with it before realizing it was from the dreaded wal mart. Haha I called back today and got a much more satisfying outcome. So here's hoping its actually resolved. Haha

    Thank you. I called back today and explained and got a much more satisfying outcome where they are willing to pick it back up. So heres hoping it does indeed go as smoothly as it seems. Haha
