Cramps/UTI help!

So I have a UTi and am on antibiotics. I've been having bad lower back pain and a lot of pelvic discomfort. I'm 5 w 2 d and just experienced what I can only describe as what felt like a really bad period cramp. I don't know if the UTi can cause that, but it lasted about 30-45 seconds and I could talk through it but i got really hot and freaked out. I've had no bleeding though. Now I'm just having mild cramping. I know week 5 there is like implantation cramping, but what do you guys think?

    I'm not sure but I had some cramping on my right side just one evening and when I went for my first u/s she said I had fluid from a cyst that burst. But the cramping wasn't real bad. I was 5 weeks then.

    More then likely it is an upper uti probably traveling sine where around your kidneys. I get it every 6 months, not sure why. Bit I quit antibiotics because they made it worse, used to get them every 3 months. Now I take cranberry pills and a probiotic yo get rid of it as soon as I feel the pain coming. Drink lots of water

    Oh and if the pain gets too bad ask your Dr for a Tylenol/ acetaminophen it is safe during pregnancy and will help you carry on normally through the day

    I think you should call your doctor if you are really concerned.

    You quit antibiotics because they made your kidney infection worse.........

    This is pretty much the worst medical advice I have ever heard.

    Depending on the antibodies you are taking it could be a symptom. My OB prescribed me nitrofurantoin and it gave me really bad cramps

    You should talk to your OB about it. And don't stop your antibiotics! That is the worst advice ever. You don't want the infection to get to your kidneys.
