NT Scan- prayers please

in March 2016 Moms
We just had our NT scan and the doctor came in immediately with news that the results were not too good and referred us to a specialist. The baby measured at 5mm of fluid and ideal is 2.5 or less for my doctor. I'm waiting for a call from the specialist for further testing...please pray for my little one! And if anyone has any experience with this test and results please let me know.

    I am sorry that you are going through this. Stay positive, this is not a for sure thing. The NT scan is a marker, not a diagnosis.

    I agree, not a diagnosis, there is still hope for a healthy baby. This test causes a lot of stress for a lot of people. Thoughts and prayers for you and DH.

    Prayers for you but please keep in mind it's not a diagnostic test and though it's worrying, there is every likelihood that baby will be ok. You're in my thoughts x

    I had my NT scan on Monday and it came back 3.9mm. It has been a really scary week for us.. I've cried off and on. We decided to get the MaterniT21 blood test done instead of the amino and should know the results in a week and a half. I will pray for you, as I know exactly how you feel and what you are going through. I've read a lot online and NT scan doesn't mean something is wrong, it just puts you at a higher risk. Try to think positive, I know it's hard... But your not alone.

    Were they able to identify the 3 lines representing the proper nasal configuration? Nasal bone, skin fold, and nose tip? Any other soft markers? Love and light!

    Remember, it's a screener. It's meant to over-identify. They rely on false positives, not false negatives.

    Just curious, did they offer a cvs test?

    They didn't mention the nasal configuration and I didn't know to ask. I will when I go back. I am waiting on a call from the specialist to discuss next steps and testing options.
