Has anyone here besides me sought IUI due to their DH's erectile disfunction? It's a last resort - we've tried the meds, the natural remedies, etc. (Viagra works sometimes, but it's not reliable, especially when you add the pressure of trying to have timed sex in a short window). There does not appear to be anything wrong with him otherwise, and last time we checked (about a year ago) his sperm count and hormone levels were fine. That being said, I'm 42 and there may end up being other issues as well, I really have no idea since we have not been able to... well... to really try to get pregnant in over a year (to put it delicately). Anyway, our appointment with the fertility specialist is on the 28th of this month, and I'd love to chat with other women who have had similar issues. If you're out there, but don't want to comment here, please feel free to message me privately! Thanks, and best of luck to every single one of you!
Me: 43, DH: 41

My husband and I have also struggled with this. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! This last month has been better, but we have struggled with this our entire relationship. He had a urologist appointment last month, and all his counts came back normal, but on the lower end. We talked about ED, but the medications that help with this can affect vision- and since my husband has vision problems already, it wasn't something we wanted to gamble with. His urologist did say to try 'fertile-aid', to help improve his counts, and weirdly it has helped with his ED too. I don't know if the 2 are related, but at this point, I don't care lol.
Everything will work out for you. Don't get too down, Good luck girl and if you need support, reach out to me!
Thank you both for your responses and your support!

We actually decided to draw the line at IVF for various reasons, but we might be good IUI candidates - still getting all the tests done.

My DH has cauda equina syndrome. 4 years ago he had a slipped disc that caused total numbness from his waist down and eventually it all shut down. He had emergency surgery and was in a rehab hospital learning to re-walk. Fast forward 4 years and he has made a remarkable recovery but is still not 100% and has ED. It is very frustrating as no one knows and they see him walking and assume everything is fine. The ED coupled with my PCOS has led to no BFPs.
Our RE referred him to a fertility urologist and he had him try Cialis. In the past he tried Viagra and had a terrible, allergic reaction. Well the Cialis works! Apparently it is slow release so the body takes it better. Of course things aren't 100% but we are having more success
