  • Kids are adorable :)

  • My 7 year old niece asked me about my baby shower this weekend. Her mom (who knows I am sensitive about pregnancy due to a loss this year) jumped in and corrected her- saying it was a bridal shower for when I got married.

It was funny though, because nobody knows I am pregnant.
  • That is really funny. Kids are full of surprises :)

  • haha that's adorable.

we did tell our DD - she's had a ton of questions and has come up with her own how babies are made... in a pan.  like how you make breakfast duh.  LOL  the other day she asked if she was made in a frying pan or a regular pan.  regular honey.  LOL  they are crazy at this age but the cuteness totally balances it out!!!
  • We told DD too. She's not old enough to really understand. All she knows is mommy has a baby in her belly. Last Saturday she was eating breakfast and she offered me a bite. I said "No, thank you!" and she goes, "No, brother eat it."

I was totally surprised and a little creeped out.

  • My kids (5 & 3) have been talking about wanting a sibling for awhile. However, a few days ago my 3yr old informed us we should have 100 babies. That might be going a bit too far

    DD1: 5.19.10
    DD2: 4.11.12

  • That's cute. DD2 will be 2 tomorrow so she won't know until much later and DD1 is 17 so I'm trying to hold off a little while longer until we can confirm the pregnancy via ultrasound + heartbeat

My 4.5 y/o DS told me yesterday that my belly looks so big, I'm probably growing 1000 babies in it. He doesn't know I'm pregnant yet, so this is hilarious and also I winced a little. 1000 babies is going to be painful!

  • About two weeks ago, my 6 year old drew a picture of our family of 4- with an additional little kid. I asked him about it and he said plain as day, "Its our little sister!" I was so caught off guard, I didn't know how to respond. We haven't told them anything yet.

  • When my MIL was pregnant with her "oh shit" baby (#4 at age 40), SIL (who was in high school) had a dream about a little boy coming to her and talking with her. Once BIL was born and was old enough to talk, he told her that he came to her in a dream and was able to provide details. She's very in tune to other-worldly things in general, but I thought that was crazy.

  • @kielpinskim .... I have a son like that! He is 7 and has a twin brother who can't "feel a windstorm"... lol
my in-tune son said... we are getting a girl next cause there are too many boys in this joint! (There are 4 boys... 8, twins 7 and 2.5)

They got me good with all this talk
  • I'm nowhere near ready to tell the kids.  I know they'll be excited, but I want to wait as long as possible. I haven't had any question anything yet, but I don't think I'm far enough along for any suspicions.
  • We told my son right away, but he's not 2 and a half yet so he doesn't really get it.

  • My son is only 15 months so he barely understands daddy and mommy, and is finally learning no at this point lol.
  • My daughter is almost 3 and we have started talking about it. The first time I said that there is a baby in my belly, she said "you eated a baby?!" And looked in my mouth. She was horrified hahahaha.
  • My stepson told me a couple of weeks ago that I was going to have a baby. I asked him why he said that and he told me because I was fat :-( (A lot of infertility hormone stuff added weight around my middle.) We've not told him anything, but he's constantly touching my stomach. We've done some hinting, but his responses to the idea of a new baby are less than positive.
  • I'm dying to tell my daughter (4years old). She's been asking for a baby sister forever and talks about her baby sister all the time. I want to wait a bit longer before we tell her but we cannot wait!!!
