A few weeks ago, my doctor diagnosed me with carpal tunnel; it will go away once LO is born.
I've been using wrist bands which help for the most part-but at times I get really bad flare ups.
Anyone in the same boat? Any advice to deal with it is welcomed!
Re: Carpal Tunnel
I have had carpal tunnel for about 8 years now and a couple suggestions to ease flare-ups:
1. When you feel one coming on stop movement. Keep your hands still with your wrists and fingers straight ( if anyone sees you, you might get a few strange looks
. Hold in that position for a few minutes.
2. Ice your wrists for 15 minutes a few times a day. If you have a freezer at work I would recommend bringing an ice pack in and keeping it in there.
3. Wear your wrist wrap to bed. It will be kind of uncomfortable and annoying at first, but it really helps keep the wrist straight so that you aren't causing more damage during the night.
Hang in there and I hope that it goes away once your LO is here
