anyone else start their period already?! I'm 7 weeks PP and FF & BF. Recently I started BC and wonder if that's why. My flow has been heavier and longer than normal. I was just looking forward to being period free for a while longer...
I'm 5 1/2 weeks postpartum and I've had severe cramping and some bleeding twice a day since 4 weeks post partum after not bleeding or cramping for 2 weeks! I'm Exclusively Breast Feeding but my doctor thinks it's my period! Erg!!! And the best part is the cramps don't go away with pain relievers of heating pads, I just have to wait it out painfully for about 3 hours. Basically, I feel your frustrations!!!
Not period yet and my baby is 7w today. I am EBF so I wonder if that has to do with it. I do feel cramps a lot but I think that is my business inside retractinf back to normal. I won't be using any birth control so I wonder when I will get my period. I hope soon so I can track my ovulation better, if that will even be possible.
I'm 9 weeks and FF... Still haven't gotten it, although I was sure it was coming about 2 weeks ago.. It felt like a horrible period without the blood... So odd...
They gave me birth control the other day no matter how much I told them I really didn't want any because when I was 16 it really messed with me. I bled for 3 months and they changed my medicine about ten times and finally got me to stop by giving me steroid shots. I also used to have a very short period with no cramps and now they are long and terrible cramps. I have the right to refuse to take it right?
@mfweeke91 yes! Of course you always have the right to say no to any medicine or procedure you don't want or aren't comfortable with. As a medical professional I'm so bothered by the idea that people think they have to follow what doctors are saying just because they are doctors. You have the right to refuse, to question, to get a second opinion. However, if you are choosing to not take the pill and you aren't ready to get pregnant again make sure you are using a secondary method of protection like condoms or a diaphragm.
@heathernmay I thought I had the right but they just acted like there was no choice. I kept telling them I didn't want any and they kept pushing it. We don't want to get pregnant right away so I'll just use protection like I did from 16-24. Lol. Thank you though. :-)
I'll be 6 weeks PP tomorrow and I don't know how to tell if it's my menstrual bleeding or still the PP bleeding (and something being wrong). I have my PP checkup September 1. But I've basically been bleeding since delivery (which was July 18)...had a week off at about 3 weeks, then started again and had one day of almost nothing in between then and now. I guess I'll find out on the 1st what's going on.
I exclusively pump and thought I wouldn't have a period for while. I started one 6weeks PP. it wasn't that bad but I found tampons uncomfortable. I had a vaginal birth.
