Fibroid pain?

i have a large fibroid on the left side of my uterus. My MFM dr said it shouldn't cause issues with the baby but I will need additional ultrasounds just to make sure the baby is stil growing normally. Well today I started having a lot of pain on my left side and it felt very hard and almost swollen. Anyone else with fibroids experience this? I'm trying not to bother the on call doctor if it's not anything serious. I know my doctor is the best person to ask if something is wrong and just wondering if anyone else experienced this with fibroids.

    I have fibroids but they are small and I haven't had any pain. Pre preg I did have pains with cysts. You coukd just be having normal pregnancy pains unrelated to fibroid though!

    I have cysts in my ovaries and am having the same thing. It's very painful on my left side and it's gotten much worse this week when my bump grew a bunch. From what my doctor has said it's probably getting squished against the inside of my body and that's the pain. I think it's probably ok, and there's not much you can do about it. Good luck though, I really sympathize. I think our pains are going to get worse so I am just doing my best to take it easy when I need to.

    I would call your dr during regular business hours if you need the peace of mind.. well worth 2 minutes of their time to know it's normal.

    Yeah I ended up calling the doctor this morning just waiting for them to call me back. I told DH this morning if I'm in his much pain right now and it's gonna be worse when I have contractions I'm really not looking forward to it.

    I hear ya. I don't have fibroids but I do have endometriosis and every few weeks as I grow the tissue tears and is terribly painful. It's definitely a blessing but not all glamorous!
