Close To Due Date & Not dilating?

I'm 39 weeks & 3 days pregnant this is my first baby I'm being blessed with little boy I haven't had no signs of labor no contractions I'm only dilated 1 centimeter since 38 weeks I have not progressed I've had my mucus plug come out no bloody show. I've had flight back pain and lower abdominal pain I was checked and admitted to emergency to see maybe I was dilating and wasn't getting contractions but they told me that it was nothing was wondering if anybody else has been through this or has any advice on how to get labor going?

    Thanks ladies! I'm just really worried it's my first baby and don't have anybody to turn to for advice. I don't want something to be wrong and me not take precaution about the situation

    thanks that's great advice I just don't want to go too much over and past my due date due to history in my family what's going too far and babies not making it. I've had several women tell me that their first pregnancy they were still born because they waited too long to be induced or their babies drowned or they lost oxygen

    This question has been asked and answered roughly 800 times. Baby will come when he is ready, or you can talk to your doctor about induction. You'll know when it's the real deal.

    I'm over due and being induced Saturday because I still haven't dialated any at all.

    I declined cervix checks until 41wks when my doctor wanted to check if I was making progress to decide whether to induce with cervdril or just pitocin and breaking water. At 41 wks I was barely 2 cm, but cervix was like 70% effaced. I wouldnt be concerned about not being dialated yet, it can happen all at once.

    I showed no dilation until about 40+5. Just 3 days later I went into labor on my own. It can happen. Relax and keep walking.

    well ladies I'm 40 weeks today I had my appointment yesterday I was checked for any new dilation and still at 1 centimeter.my doctor said if he's not here by Tuesday I'm already set for an appointment for an inducement on Wednesday night. hopefully he comes on his own. I've actually tried walking everyday. sex is not in my picture as my husband is currently not around at the moment.I've been getting contractions here and there nothing consistent and last I went to the hospital my contractions weren't strong enough so they just sent me home. Hopefully this kid comes soon. I'm already so sore and feel impatient on this whole waiting game I'm trying to get real frustrated.

    Take a bath and just try to relax until its time. Just enjoy these last few days before LO gets here. Dont get me wrong its totally worth it, but oh am I tired!!! Lol
