Lost my mucous plug yesterday, I'm due Sept 1st. Does this mean labor is soon?

Or could it still be a while? I had my membranes stripped, because I wanted to do something, to make me at least more favorable for induction by 41 or 42 weeks, since I had a 42 week induction for a failed NST and BPP that lasted 3 days with DD. I hope hope hope!!

    Losing your plug means nothing. It can regenerate and you can lose it several times until delivery. I lost mine many times with my last two pregnancies starting around 30 weeks, and didn't go into labor until 39+ weeks.

    I lost mine at 39w5d and had blood in it, my water broke 6 hours later.. My sister never lost her mucus plug till in labor 41 weeks...

    So, does it make a difference if there was blood in it? I had a fair amount of blood in it. Not enough to be like a medical emergency or anything.

    No there being blood in it does not make a difference. It could still mean labor is weeks and weeks away. Everyone is different though so good luck!

    There is a difference between bloody show and a mucous plug. If it had a fair amount of blood in it and given your dd is so soon I'd guess you had bloody show which definitely can be a sign of impending labor, much more than just losing your mucous plug. Even still it could be a day or two before labor starts but I'd take it as a sign your body is revving up for labor.
