Breast Lump AND Level II U/S

Ok. So I feel my OB is NOT being honest and when I confronted her I got the usual lip service.

Basic US at 18 weeks "OK" altho they said they couldn't "record the chambers." (heart)...my mom was with me who is a nurse and she saw them but dr has still sent me for a Level II US...Anyone else in this same boat?  They are sooooo evasive and as we all know they tell high risk not to have stress but heck what do they think this is.

ALSO, dr found a pea size lump in one breast above areola...Doesn't APPEAR to move and by what I hear all those are bad.I am scheduled for a breast US and the US department leaves me a msg to come in earlier so that if another test needs to be done the radiologist is still there...What could this be?  I haven't even had any other tests?

I really dislike the way all this is coming down and I can only assume the worst.

Anyone else with similar sitations/outcomes?

Please and thank you

  • Don't have any experience but I am sorry you have to go through that and I'm praying that everything turns out fine with you and the LO. Good luck and stay positive.

  • Thank you for your well wishes.

Went for breast US... I was gone! The lump!

No today the Level II U/S that I am VERY worried about as it appears there are a lot of false positives..

    Again, thank you!

  • A level 2 US is done with a fetal medicine specialist rather then a regular ultrasound tech. It is more thorough. I am an older first time Mom and they are standard at my doctors office for women who are over 40. Don't panic, if they are having trouble seeing something on the regular scan they want to check further. It is so hard to think positive, but I went through this pregnancy thinking at every turn something would go wrong. On top of being 45, I also had 3 miscarriages leading up to this pregnancy. I am currently 37 weeks 4 days and so far so good. Fingers crossed all goes well for you.
