Before 28 weeks Kick-Counts are not necessary. So any kicks felt are ok. During third trimester ask your OB. The general rule was to note active times of day after 28 weeks. When performing the kick counts (later, its too early at 20 weeks) procedure is to lay on left side and have something cold and/or sweet. Count. 10 counts in an hour is sufficient.
So, for future reference the above. At this stage you are jumping the gun expecting regular movement.
