22 weeks and still no kicks?

I'm 22 weeks today and still have not felt a kick or even the little bubbles or butterflies in your stomach feeling.

Re: 22 weeks and still no kicks?

  • Been to your dr? Depends on positioning from what some have said and # of pregnancy for you. It can take a while for first timers.

  • Yeah I have. Had an ultrasound recently and a prenatle appt last week. Baby is in there and definitely moving around my Dr said but I just can't feel it! This is my first baby.
  • Everything I've read said that it can take up to 25 weeks to feel anything so you're still within that window. If doc says everything is good I wouldn't stress too much! I know it's anxious waiting for it but it'll definitely happen soon and once it does you'll probably wish they would settle down a bit so you can sleep/concentrate!
  • Try this if haven't already... Drink a ton of water and wait until your bladder is full. Then eat something sweet and lay on your back. I noticed yesterday that one if my twins got very active while I watched fantasia yesterday. Hope you get a flutter soon ;)
  • I didn't start feeling mine till around 22 weeks. I have an anterior placenta and my uterus apparently is huge. I feel her sporadically now. I wouldn't worry about it at all at this point if your a/s showed wiggle fest

  • So whenever I pee and then lay flat on my back in bed something about that combination really sets her off. I would try that, not sure what the science behind it is other than it seems to really make her throw a tantrum.
  • I didn't start feeling my baby till recently at 23 weeks n I'm now 25 n there much stronger now.....you may have an anterior placenta like I do..N if you can wait but a heart Doppler like I did were you can still feel close to your baby even when you can feel him
  • I just started feeling movement within the last week. I'm 22 weeks now. I have an anterior placenta, making it take a little longer. I know your pain, it felt like I was waiting a lifetime to feel this lil babe!! Try to be patient, because soon you'll feel a strong kick out of nowhere!
  • Thanks for the support ladies
  • I wasn't feeling anything til about week 21/22. I'm 25 weeks now and it is night and day from a few weeks back. Moving, poking, and visible if I lay still and watch. My husband saw movement for the first time last night and it was very cool. You will get there and once you start to feel it you will notice it A LOT more. Good Luck!!
  • I was freaking out too. I didn't really start feeling anything until 23 weeks. After that it was very sporadic. I'm currently 25 weeks and the kicks are getting stronger so I can feel them more easily. I've noticed it's easier for me to feel them when I'm sitting or laying down.
