Placenta bleeding

Has anyone been diagnosed with this? If so what did they suggest?

    I'm really sorry that you're dealing with this and I would love to point you in the right direction or maybe open this up for other women who are experiencing the same thing.


    What exactly do you mean by placenta bleeding - Were you diagnosed? What was the actual diagnosis?

    Please forgive my ignorance - I just didn't want to let the thread disappear without any kind of acknowledgement or guidance from the ladies on the board.

    Do you have placenta previa? Or a low lying placenta? If you have that then I know it can cause bleeding of the placenta because with it being so close to your cervix it can get irritated easily. Either way, I'd think that if your placenta is bleeding then your doctor would put you on some form of bed rest, tell you no exercise or sex, and no heavy lifting. I have marginal previa and that's what I was told to prevent bleeding.

    I've got this and have been on bed rest for 4 weeks now. I get spotting everyday and get scanned every 4 weeks to make sure the bleeding doesn't spread. I've been told it's quite common.

    I had a marginal sinus bleed of my placenta. I had two days of spotting then it stopped, but apparently my placenta is low lying so I am on "light duty" not full bed rest for the time being. I also have to get scanned every 4 weeks now.
