How quickly do side effects from progesterone show?

So this is my 2nd month on progesterone after my IUI..both months i've been on Crinone 8% cream/gel that I insert vaginally once a day.  Last month I started getting lots of pregnancy like symptoms that I know were from the progesterone about a week to a week and half after starting it.  This month I have only been on it for 3 days so far and while I don't have tons of symptoms at least not yet I am a little crampy..i guess this could be left over form the IUI on Sunday as well..it's not major at all and it even could just be gas or something.

Just curious how soon others see symptoms

    On my previous cycles, I was feeling really tired for the first two days (I'd start at night, so for the following two days). Then I was fine. This time it lasted longer, but not clear what was progesterone vs BFP. I weirdly have less symptoms now than I did last week (likely when implantation occurred).

    Do you take it once or twice a day @KidShrink ?? Are you taking it orally or vaginally and are you still on it after your bfp?

    I take 200 mg (two capsules) twice a day vaginally. I'm continuing at least until my ultrasound, but most likely til the end of the first trimester.

    @KidShrink you got a BFP? omg I'm so happy for you! What did you do this cycle? I forget what #IUI you were on.

    1.) IUI Cycle 1 April 2015- 50mg clomid days 5-9, U/S cycle day 12 at 9:30am showed two follicles (17mm and 19mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 10:30 am. BFN
    2.) IUI Cycle 2 May 2015-50mg clomid days 5-9, U/S cycle day 12 at 3:30pm showed three follicles!!! (17mm, 20mm and 22mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 10:30 am. BFN
    3.) IUI Cycle 3 June 2015-50mg clomid days 5-9, U/S cycle day 12 showed one follicle, Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 10:30 am. BFN
    Month break and switched RE's.
    4.) IUI Cycle 4 July 2015-5mg letrozole/femara days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed one follicle (18mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 12 10:00pm, IUI cycle day 14 10:30 am. BFN
    5.) IUI Cycle 5 August 2015-100mg clomid days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed 2 follicles (18mm each), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 12 10:00pm, IUI cycle day 14 10:30 am. BFN
    Taking a break and trying acupuncture before continuing another 3 IUI/clomid cycles. I also went back to my original RE; because of my age and normal tests, RE wants to try another 3 IUI and Clomid cycles before considering injectables or IVF. 
    6.) IUI Cycle 6 October 2015-100mg clomid days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed 3 follicles!!!( 18mm, 19mm, and 20mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 9:30 am. Did acupuncture with this cycle too. BFN
    Took a break and ttc naturally
    7.) IUI Cycle 7 February 2016-100mg clomid days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed 2 follicles (22mm and 24mm), Ovidrel trigger shot day 12 at 9:00pm, IUI cycle day 14 at 10:00am. BFN
    Meeting scheduled for 2/29/2016 to discuss iui with injectables vs. IVF
    8.) IUI Cycle 8 March 2016-Injectables (Gonal F), U/S showed 2 mature follicles, Ovidrel Trigger BFN
    April-May I lost my mind.
    IVF#1 July 2016-Transferred 2 fair blasts. 9dp5dt BFP 129 BETA, 13dp5dt 944 BETA, 20dp5dpt 8776 BETA, 8/19/2016-1 beautiful heartbeat  of 100 BPM at 6 weeks 1 day! Growing baby grow!! 8/25/2016-another ultrasound at 7 weeks and baby has a heart beat of 129 BPM and is 10mm/1cm! Grow baby grow some more!! Graduated from RE at 10 weeks and had ObGyn appointment at 13 weeks. It's a girl (found out via panorama test)  EDD 4/13/2017

    I notice symptoms from it within 24 hours. I don't react well to it at all . My belly bloats to the point that I look about four months pregnant . My pants won't button when I'm on it :/ the symptoms last until I go off of it . Usually within 2 days of coming off of it my belly goes down and I get a little energy back . I wish it wasn't necessary because it's no fun !

    Me: PCOS, unexplained infertility (whatever that means!!)
    June 2015 Medicated TI cycle: BFN
    July 2015:  Medicated TI cycle: BFN
    August 2015: IUI: BFP. Chemical pregnancy :(
    October 2015: IUI: BFN
    January 2016: Egg retrieval: 10 frozen embryos!
    March 2016: FET Cycle- 2 embryos transferred!: BFP !

    @Knottie36622473 : I did :)This was IUI #1 with Femara and Follistim. I went through 3 rounds of Femara only and TI back in the spring but my lining was never getting thick enough and I had unusual pains, which led to a hysteroscopy to correct a slight t shape uterus and a laparoscopy to remove a massive amount of endometriosis. Our RE initially said we could try naturally after and was confident it would work, but we wanted to push things along if we could, hence the injectibles and IUI this time around. Very happy we did it, and never thought it would happen so quickly. My one word of advice: find a great RE who actually tries to find and fix the cause of your infertility, not just throw more meds and expensive treatment at you as soon as you walk in the door. My RE doesn't believe in 'unexplained' infertility and is an expert is gynecological micro-surgery. He did everything he could to figure out and fix the problem, and it worked (and for sure some problems are harder to fix than others).
    And progesterone sucks, really bad! No way around that it seems!

    @KidShrink I 100% agree with your comment on finding a great RE. That's why I left my first RE...he just wanted to continue the same treatment and didn't see to care to find out what was wrong. First consult with RE 2 he said he wanted to try 2 rounds of medicated IUI under his supervision and if they fail he's doing lap surgery.

    @KidShrink @Knottie36622473 Omg, I am so happy for your BFP!! So encouraging for us, you are both right about being aware and cautious w RE. I believe my RE started me right w the laproscopy, about to find out his diagnosis and begin my first cycle of whatever we decide. .I have to say I w miss you on this board though but happy for you. :)
