Wondering how many items people have on their registries? I'm a FTM and my Babies'R'Us registry has 120 items on it.... which feels excessive! I've been over it a dozen times and I can't really find many things to cut though. I'm feeling nervous that people will think I'm asking for too much! Just wondering what the norm is?
Re: Baby Registry - How Many Items?
So, the biggest ticket item on our registry is the Uppababy G-Luxe and we only put that on there when we use the completion discount! I did not include any "mama care" items like nipple pads or any care items for myself nor any diaper clean-up or cream type stuff!!!
We wound up with around 90 items and every week I buy several items because our shower will be small and I'm really using the registry mainly as a way to keep track of what I'd like. Of course I'm buying the items myself first that I feel people would be least likely to want to buy as a shower gift.
I think it's just important to have a wide range of price points and really dependent on if you're going to have more than one shower. It doesn't do any harm to add whatever you think you'll need. Just because you have a lot on the registry doesn't mean you are expecting it all; it just gives people more options who are gracious enough to buy a gift.
All in.
Keep in mind there are a lot of small items that people will group into a gift for you, and a big registry won't come off as greedy- people realize these days its almost just your running online shopping cart and makes it easier for you to pick up the stuff that wasn't gifted (because lets face it, family/friends will want to buy you the more fun stuff and pass on nipple pads and diaper genie refills!).
