hi girls... I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and for the past week have had what feels like menstraul cramps... I know it's not contractions bc it's constant but just wondering if anyone else experienced this? Thanks!
Does your lower back hurt too? If so it could be a bladder infection. Otherwise it probably is contractions from being dehydrated try drinking a very big container of water and lay on your side for awhile and see if that helps. If not call your doctors office and see what they say.
I've been experiencing this since 36 weeks and I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow! My midwife told me it's basically just your uterus getting ready for he big day. As long as they don't get progressively more painful or start coming in a pattern then you should be okay! Good luck!
I had cramping while on the monitor and nothing was coming up, I think it was baby moving around in my pelvis. It may be nothing but you can always call to be sure!
I've been getting menstrual cramps and lower back ache on and off for weeks. I was checked out yesterday and my urine was fine so I know it's not an infection. Midwife said its our bodies preparing for when baby comes
Yep! Totally had that - consistent cramps lasting for a few hours. Felt like I was going to get my period. CHUG that water lady! I would call your dr just to be extra sure, but every time I had that it was fixed by a lot of water and laying on my side to relax. Hope you feel better!!
I am 37w 4d and I have also had cramping for the last week.Last week when I was checked I was about 2cm dilated and my cervix was very soft and thinning. My doctor said that cramping for these last few weeks is completely normal as your cervix is doing its job and getting ready for labor! He also told me that drinking lots of water can help and to contact him if they started getting stronger as that can be a sign of early labor. Good luck!!
I have this! I'm 35 weeks and have had it off and on since 33 weeks. My doctor said its normal. But it sure hurts!!! It sometimes lasts more than 24 hours.
Completely normal at this stage of pregnancy. As long as the pain doesn't worsen and becomes more regular then it's just braxton hicks and not labor pain
I've also been cramping for the past week and this morning I woke up with such bad lower back pain that it hurt to walk. I'm at work now and using my heating pad hoping that will help. Since the cramps came on, I haven't been hungry and can go without eating lunch all together and no snacking throughout the day. And my bowels have been extremely loose :S I'm 37+1
For the past few days I have had painful abdominal cramping, mostly at night. It is super uncomfortable. I am just trying to hang in there, since I am 36 weeks 2 days and don't have too much longer to go.
