FTM. Daydreaming about SO reaction!

It may just be the hormones, but am I the only one here who can not stop daydreaming about my husband's face when he gets to see our baby girl for the first time? He is over the moon excited, but I know it will not seem 100% real until she is here. I think about it all of the time. It's something that I'm most looking forward too.

Thats me too! My husband has always wanted and dreamed of being a father so he is so incredibly thrilled and excited. I've been thinking about that moment he holds our LO since I found out I was pregnant! It's going to be something that will stay ingrained in my mind the rest of our lives and I can't wait!
  • My fave pic is of DH holding his girl in the rocker in the delivery room-his eyes are all red and teary, just completely smitten :)

  • I think my heart just grew three sizes. Oh wow, this is going to be awesome!!
  • This post made me tear up just thinking about that moment! 16 days (give or take) and counting!
  • I didn't even think of this. I wonder if I'll be up to recording it on my phone, I'm sure he'll cry. I'm sooo excited to see now!
  • I am so excited about this moment too! My husband decided not to find out the gender so he has no idea we are having a boy! I am a doc so it was a little bit IMPOSSIBLE for me not to read the ultrasound even though I never asked the sonographer for the final answer. He REALLY wants to have a boy so the moment he finds out and see the baby will be a special moment for sure!
  • My DH and I have 2 boys (and I have a daughter from previous relationship ). I cannot wait to see him hold his daughter for the first time. After 2 boys we just figured this one would be boy as well. I know he's scrared but also very anxious. I can see the water works already :)
  • Boyfriend never thought about being a father in the 2 years we've been together, so I'm more anxious than excited. When we first found out I was pregnant and we decided to start a family, he would talk to my belly and read all the books with me, but then his involvement waned a little. It's been picking back up ever since we took the birth class a couple weeks ago, though, so I'm hoping he's just really good at hiding how excited he is. His dad was a very old school, let the mother do everything, kind of father, so I'm worried he thinks that he's not going to be a good dad. But he's way better with kids than I am, and I can't wait to see him bond with our little boy :) Aww I'm getting all choked up at work thinking about it  :x
  • I was in recovery when my first was born so I didn't get to see his reaction and the same will happen this time around, it sucks.

  • Me ! I think about it often and every time tear up . ( tearing up just typing) My husband has wanted children since he was 18 now 36. He bawled at our wedding and I know the moment he sees his first son he will do the same - his heart will explode . I can't wait to have the imagine ingrained in my brain forever - hopefully someone will snap a pic !
  • TBH I don't even remember his reaction lol ... When he first saw her I couldn't see over my belly and was struggling to see so I didn't even look at him. Oops.
  • I just teared up reading this. While my husband and I were at my NST last night, two newborns passed us as we waited for a room, and his faced turned blue. Lol. I dont think reality had hit them yet! Im so curious as to how theyre going to react.
