Hey all! We had our anatomy scan yesterday, and I was so shocked to find out our peanut is a BOY!! When she measured the femur, she said it was odd that it was so long. My husband is 6'5", and I am 5'9", so we knew we wouldn't be having a petite baby, but the NP told us we have a very big baby. She reassured us by saying he was big, but proportionate, all over, but he was very long for his gestational age. We are supposed to go back in four weeks to make sure things are still ok, but he was 14 inches at 20 weeks!! Anyone else have a long femur and/or baby?

Re: 20 Week Anatomy Scan - Very long baby?
Eta I was 20w1d at the scan.
@holocene - ours measures 24 weeks at 20!!
As far as I've heard, they don't use size for dating after a certain point because the normal range varies so much, that two babies at the same age could be completely different sizes.
I wouldn't worry unless the doctor told you that he's getting too big, which they pretty much don't do until you're getting closer to due date.
