  • Our A/C is a twatwaffle for not working, and the A/C repair people are twatwaffles for giving us a different time window today than they said we would get originally.  I have a doctor's appointment right in the middle of the new window.

  • My tail bone! Sitting is painful. So is standing. And walking. And lying down. And now I can't go to dinner for my anniversary with DH so we'll probably end up ordering pizza or something equally lame.
  • My allergies are being a TW today, and have been for the past couple of weeks. Runny nose, itchy roof of the mouth, sneezing constantly....don't they know I am trying to avoid taking medicine while I'm pregnant?!?
  • My allergies are also being a TW.  It's super nice out, but I had to close my windows last night because I couldn't stop sneezing.  Asking the doc today at my appt if I can take anything for it.

  • My MIL, she previously said my husband "had better carry on the family name" and it better be a boy She even insisted it was when I was 8 weeks pregnant and bought boy clothes. We just found out yesterday that we are having a little baby girl and couldn't be more thrilled (we would have been either way). We are so excited to plan for our baby girl. However, my husband has been putting off telling her lol and I can see why....it's no skin off my nose but Thanks for making my hubs feel anxious about giving you happy news about a healthy little baby girl. You suck. The end.
No joke, I'm getting the exact same thing from my MIL...as if they come from the royal family or something.  Our child will not be king or queen one day, so I think we'll be ok.

I'm going through something similar right now from my MIL. We just found out we are having a girl, and we are really excited about the name we picked for her! So we told my MIL, and her response was, "Oh that's nice, but you have plenty of time to change it."

I let the comment go, but then last night my husband talked to her and she brought up how we needed a 'Strong Irish Name' for her. My husband told her, that we were happy with what we have chosen. She wouldn't drop it. Finally he get's off the phone with her, and she ends up EMAILING HIM! Saying if we aren't going to give her an Irish first name, we should consider a Irish middle one. Apparently she doesn't like the fact the name we picked is technically Hebrew.

The woman is on my last nerve.

  • @kmcconnell22 I think the only thing you may be able to be grateful for is that we are not 8 mths along and huge yet! ?

ALTHOUGH, even at 20 wks and a tiny belly I was having a near heat stroke on vacation last week so I'm not sure how much it matters..... I'm sorry you have been without A/C!!! :(

Yeah that crap is so ridiculous.  DH is definitely going to get the "real men make boys" lecture from his grandpap (though he is in his 80s, so no one gets too offended by this speech, lol).  My side of the family is very boy-dominant, so my grandparents will be thrilled to get another girl in the mix.

  • @SummerFall03 because she's pushing this kid through HER hoo-ha? Ummm NO lol

What do these women not get? It's your own little family, you do it your own way. She can shove it, she'll get used to whatever you pick.

Maybe MIL'S have a hard time letting go of the matriarchal control??

My MIL even expects to have control over the sex of the baby.....lol. I feel bad for hubs but she was so rude about it I'd love to see her face when she finds out its a girl.

Ugh, that's why we've been refraining from letting everyone know what names we are thinking of.  I would always like to kindly remind everyone that when they had children I'm sure it would have bothered them if everyone was telling them what they should name THEIR kids.

  • @nlwz123, when I was pregnant last time, his family actually sent us a 2 page list of names we "should" consider naming our kids.

Honestly, it's days like these, especially with my in laws, I wish I could drink an excessive amount! Lmao!

    uhhh, that's pretty excessive.

Yep!! It's safe to say, we all have a pretty rough relationship. They have some serious control issues.

  • I'm sorry you all are having to deal with these in law problems!!! Mine have said nothing about anything. My mom doesn't like the idea of us using my last name instead of my husband's but whatever.

My back is being a twatwaffle. Last night I couldn't sleep because of it and now I can't find a comfortable sitting position.

  • I'm stoked my in-laws are in Australia.

I think I'm being a twatwaffle today. I threw a fit already at my SO for wanting to drive our new car because it's bigger so he can move some stuff & for throwing away my coffee filter so I was going to use again. Hehe. Guys' just trying to survive and I'm just being a big ol b*tch.
  • So thankful I hardly have to deal with my in-laws right now.

I feel like I'm a TW, or more specifically my pregnancy hormones. I've felt like I have the worst pms... I'm getting too frustrated with my son's potty training. Also my dogs are on my last nerve. I just feel like a cranky old b*tch and I hate it.
Also I'm 21 weeks, where is all that 2nd trimester energy I've heard so much about?
  • My body temp is a TW.
I'm too hot or I'm too cold. There's no in between. I drew up a nice bubble bath last night an I had to get out five minutes into it because I was too hot.. Which it was normal heat that I always do every week.
I really don't like this extra heat thing.
  • My company is a TW due to their lack of maternity leave and inability to give a **** about their employees.
  • I'm a twatwaffle. I'm having a rummage sale in nearly 2 weeks, but I can't seem to find the giveadamn needed to finish sorting through the 7+ totes of kid clothes I have.  I broke down crying this morning just thinking about it.  I HAVE to get this done.  It's going to be my extra spending money when we see my family in October.

And I want to call my SO a twatwaffle, but I almost feel bad about it.  He decided yesterday to clean the whole kitchen top to bottom.  He moved the chairs into the doorway between the living room and kitchen while he swept/mopped...and they are STILL THERE.  I'm tired of having to run that gauntlet every time I want a snack.

SO's mom is a TW, so I've blocked her on fb for a bit.  She's losing her shit about it.  C you next Tuesday.

  • My chest is a tw. It's randomly full of phlegm for no reason so I have to keep clearing my throat and now my throat hurts. And I'm annoyed.
  • My MIL is a TW because she whined and moaned and begged us to let DS stay with her for over night, THEN told us that everyone in the house has the stomach flu. Really? You were so desperate for time with him, that you were willing to give my 2 yr old a stomach flu? If she didn't see him often I would (maybe) be more understanding, but she babysits him every week for 2-3 hours. And every time she sees him she gushes about how much she missed him and how much he's grown in the past week and how much grandma loves him. I seriously want to slap her sometimes.

  • Kim K is once again a TW.

Where the hell are my "pregnancy lips"?
  • Today I am being a TW. I went to the bus stop this morning without my pass, sat for five minutes before realising and then had to run home to get it.
I also suck at holding angry cats for blood samples. And freak out when having to talk to clients. Urgh.
Also I have an exam tomorrow but haven't looked over anything... Whhhhyyyyyyy.
  • My hubby is being a bit of a TW. We are having our a/s tomorrow afternoon and we have church tomorrow night also. He works overnight driving trucks and was gonna use a personal day and take the night off tomorrow, since he won't have his normal time to sleep before church because of the doctor appointment, but he is insistent that 3-4 hours will be fine. This of course terrifies me at the thought of him driving with such little sleep! I gave him the ultimatum that he either doesn't go to work or I cancel the appointment. Looks like I'm keeping my appointment

  • My stomach is a TW...somehow it handled Mexican food last night perfectly fine (when pre-preggo it would have resulted in indigestion!) and yet a simple Lean Cuisine lunch has me feeling all out of sorts! Seriously? You can handle the greasy meat but not the healthy meal?

Oh I was definitely thankful for not being 8 months pregnant yet, lol.  Our A/C is fixed now!  Less than $200.  I can live with that.   <:-P

  • GRRRRR! My husband is a TW fooooshooooo. We had our ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday, September 1st. Then at dinner tonight, he tells me he forgot he has training that day and we have to reschedule for a later date. I want to murder him for pushing it back. I'm so eager as it is...the wait is killing me!

So, I recently found out what twatwaffle really means...
  • My job and my boss. He is so worthless I have lost all respect. I almost lost my shit and walked out today. Being a responsible adult really sucks sometimes.

  • We are getting the "you know there has always been a William in the family"... Ffs, feel free to get knocked up again and make your own William. Or maybe stop relying on us for everything and put your ice addict other child into rehab so one day he might responsibly reproduce. Sorry, I'm a tad cranky these days!
