Ok. I have a really stupid question.... I think I know the answer but I have to ask anyway! Feel free to flame away....
Can you have a period if you haven't ovulated? Don't you have to ovulate to have a period?? After all, that's shedding the unused egg.... There was some debate over this somewhere and I just want to make sure my grasp on things is correct.
Man I feel dumb!

Yes, you can have your period but not ovulate. It is called an anovulatory cycle as @CoachBeckyCooper already said

So you would know you had one based on your temps right? No sharp drops/raises in temps? You just have bleeding at some point to shed the extra lining but no egg then a new cycle starts? Man bodies are weird.

Omg. Well now I'm wondering if I've been having them.... Only rarely do I get the "egg white" cm. I never knew what it was!!! It freaked me out and I thought it was so gross! Haha I thought it was ejaculate... O.o So ignorant. Sigh.
Recently my cycles have been getting longer each time, and no signs of fertile cm so I'm really curious now. I guess I'll find out soon. Man I'm starting to realize how badly I need to get healthy!
Here's hoping your wait is over soon!!

Well I don't get that often either... At most it's the stage before that, the creamy/lotion consistency
I've never had ewcm. I get watery cm for a couple days, tops. Otherwise mostly creamy. I have to check internally, because i tend to be somewhat "dry".
I've been pregnant before, so I promise it didn't affect anything.
Happy reading!
