Any other mums been told they are Rhesus Negative and that they're child is most likely going to have Rhesus Positive blood? Just got a few worries and thought anyone could share some experiences and thoughts! (But please don't scare me haha)
I have r negative blood type. It's nothing to be concerned with. It's just a simple shot in the button during pregnancy and then one after baby is born
There's a lot of different posts about this all over The Bump..... many. I am R-Negative and even posted one myself a month or so back regarding spotting while being in a foreign country. There are search bars at both the top and bottom of the screen.
Anywho, get your Rhogham shot or whatever they call it where you live somewhere between 26-30 weeks and you're cool. If you spot, get it within 72 hours.
Not worried at all! I'm glad I read all about it beforehand though, I'm Neg, DH is pos. My OB never asked me, I brought it up myself, and he insisted on seeing proof of my hubby's blood type before putting in my file that I'd need the shot later. I'm hoping they would have checked closer to the time if I hadn't brought it up since they knew I was neg.
I got one when I miscarried in January. Fairly simple. I did spot this pregnancy but they didn't give it to me then. But they said I will get it around 28 weeks, even though my husband has NO idea what his blood type is. :-S
