I had the one hour test yesterday and have to go for the 3 hour tomorrow at 830. Should I eat before they told me don't eat for three hours before the 1 hour test the nurse said that can effect my results so now I'm getting mixed answrs and I am confused any tips are appreciated!
Re: Advice for 3 hour glucose test!! Please!!
2. Medical questions are best for your doctor. They all have different standards.
The first blood draw in the 3 hour is to test your fasting level. Meaning no food for at least 8 hours. Google would have told you that too.
To everyone with tips thank you so much hoping for the best!
Also, you can search on mobil, as seen by the visual aid below.
Better to call them and get concrete instructions than have to redo the test because of invalid results.

This. You can too search on your phone. And you can call your doctor from it too.
I felt really nauseous after the drink, probably because it was on an empty stomach and my stomach felt a little crampy but it subsided fairly quickly and it was just a matter of waiting for each blood draw. I alternated arms for blood draws but by the 3rd and 4th time, I was more sensitive. When I left after 3 hours, I felt foggy and tired and had a mild headache so I treated myself to panera bread and had a nap!

You need to call your doctor and get clarification in what they want you to do. Guessing in this instance is not good enough. Please tell me this is MUD because I just can't even with this nonsense.
Edited to change my number 4 to a number 3, because y'know"counting.

If you're given specific instructions, and you should get them, follow them. The doctors know what they are doing.
Just trust the instructions and hope for the best would be my advice. Yes it sucked and being there for 3 hours sucked and the blood draws sucked but it ll e over before you know it
