dizziness, nausea, chills

37w and 2d, woke up so sick in the middle of the night.  going to doc at 12:30 pm but feeling very flu-ish.  anyone else experienced this late?

Re: dizziness, nausea, chills

  • the flu doesn't involve your stomach being upset, usually only in children. I was hospitalized with the flu at 18 weeks and if you had if you're entire body would hurt from head to toe and you'd be completely weak. So it doesn't sound like that to me, but I do hope you feel better!

  • If you've been stomach sick it could be either be something you ate and upset your stomach or an actual stomach flu bug. I got one twice during this pregnancy as it was making the rounds. Stay hydrated and keep us posted!
  • Do you have a fever? The nausea and dizziness could definitely be pregnancy related. Not sure about the chills though. I hope you feel better soon!
  • Same thing happened to me at about 35 weeks pretty much for that whole week. It was awful, reminded me of morning sickness from the beginning, but then one day I woke up and I was completely fine. Dr. said it was most likely just hormones changing preparing for birth.
  • This is me right now. Fever, chills, sweats, cough, congestion. I'm so miserable...
  • I really think I had food poisoning.  I threw up a few times and felt much better.  Ugh.
  • Glad you feel better @winderslane!
  • I woke up feeling like this on Saturday night. I didn't actually throw up, but it lasted on and off all night. I have been nauseous more in the last week or two and thrown up a few times. Chills was only that one night, and I think it was just from feeling sick. Your not alone!
  • I felt like this most of Monday but after drinking tons of water and relaxing I started feeling better.
