He kicked me awake!

This little punk has started kicking me, pretty forcefully, first thing in the morning, so much sothat I wake up!!! And he usually kicks a lot as I lay in bed reading (or forum-ing). Wow! No more butterflies from this guy. I hope he settles down before he gets to my ribs. Ha!

Anyone else having inconvenient timing for kicks and wiggles from LO? Haha

Re: He kicked me awake!

  • I can hardly get to sleep with whatever dance he's doing in there. Feels like he's on the go 90% of the time. I love it but hate it too.

  • LO's hardest kicks have been when I go to bed, it was only cute the first time!
  • We seem to be doing 6am tai chi this last week. It's funny that he's getting big enough to feel on both sides of my belly at once when he stretches out.

  • Yes lots of kicks that woke me last night
  • My girl wakes me up around 5am every morning with her little "exercise" routines. I am an early riser anyway, so it's not too much of a bother. I have a feeling we will have many many early mornings together when she comes out.
  • My little guy starts around 11 pm right when I am about to fall asleep! His movements are getting so strong. DH could actually feel him rolling around last night.. Its amazing but it sure does make it tough to get some sleep
  • My LO wakes up with me around 630am, but if I sleep in at all he/she definitely lets me know! GET UP MOM! Sometimes during the night i'll wake up for no reason, and then ill feel lots of kicks, so i'm sure that's the reason i'm waking up
  • My LO is active most of the night. It doesn't wake me up, but when I wake up to pee or if I'm tossing and turning I'll notice it and then it's hard to get back to sleep. He is also usually active when I'm sitting at my desk at work ... and I don't know if it's the position I'm in or what, but he always seems to kick my bladder during those times. That's no fun when I'm in a meeting and feel like I have to pee every few seconds. Thanks, little man.

This is me exactly! It's so adorable!
  • Totally do not think my little girl sleeps for most of the day like all the apps say they do at this point. Anytime I wake up in the night I can feel her kicking away (not sure if I wake up from her or just because) and during the day it is like she's jumping up and down on my bladder.

  • Yep! LO wakes me up bright and early every morning. As I started to fall back asleep, she went crazy again so I busted out the camera and recorded her circus act. DH freaked out watching the video of course after he woke up from a great nights sleep. :/

  • I get kicked awake every morning. I turn to husband 'your son....' Or when I am in a meeting at work with the senior execs a lot. In a room full on senior firefighters the other week and I let out quite a loud yip because he found my ribs and gave them a big ol kick. He is just rolling around at the moment. Has moved away from my bladder, so I guess I should be grateful.

Baby girl moves consistently but hasn't woken me up yet. She is usually more active right before and after a meal in my case. Or if I go pee she seems to stretch out.
  • My little man kept his body pushed against my left side all day yesterday and would not move. When he finally did, my side was so sore I could hardly move. Of course he started kicking me where it was sore, making it so much worse. I wake up at 4 AM for work. Needless to say, I didn't sleep hardly at all last night.
  • I'm a teacher and was in the middle of a training yesterday when Little Miss gave me a good swift kick which literally made me say "ugh" out loud. This one kicks harder than her brother ever did. She also kicks lower which is equally as special.
  • My LO practices his kickboxing most either when I'm trying to go to sleep, or when I'm sitting for more than a few minutes (especially when driving). Unfortunately for him, and for me, I have a desk job that also involves lots of driving distances of 45 minutes+.

  • I'm not going to lie, I'm actually jealous of all of you ladies.  My daughter was quite the gymnast, and I loved every kick and roll (maybe it helps that she was breech a lot of the time, so she stayed away from my ribs).  This time, I have placenta anterior, so everything I feel is muffled.  I can barely tell what's going on in there, and my husband's only felt the baby a few times.  I'd love to feel a good hard kick this time!
  • Bun has been a bit of a brat the last few days. I didn't think I'd feel this much with an anterior placenta but I swear this one kicks harder than DS (and after kicking me in the kidney and making me pee blood for a few days I feel like that's saying something).

DS was down for a nap early yesterday afternoon and hubby and I were going to take advantage of the quiet time ;) It felt like the little stinker started trying to stand up horizontally. Suddenly I had this really horrible zingy sharp pain in my left side and started bawling. Needless to say the mood was utterly destroyed.
  • Oh my lil guy does barrel rolls and is constantly playing behind my belly button but if his dad touches my belly he freezes I think it hilarious my bf is not as amused lol
